I derped and I wasn't even drunk... too much. That failure on wave ten escort solo kinda set the mood for the evening and the mood wasn't good. I fried you guys because I was going for some phantom/goon barbecue... it's not my fault you all wanted a piece of it :P

The Glacier hazard/geth was quite literally painful. I haven't cursed so much in a long time. Every time I would try to use an ops pack it failed and I got downed instead. All the stagger, the  bugs flying around... I didn't have much fun in that match, to tell the truth. Didn't have much fun entire evening, mostly on account of my poor performance.

Still, trying out the goondept was fun... he's such a great character. And I think the QME in last game was trying to missile glitch. That's the only explanation why he was always running around with him ML out in the open. That poor asari... wasn't ready for gold.

Did manage to get 20 headshots though... suppresor is a nice gun on headshot oriented stasis focused AA. I'm now drawing really close to completing all those banners.

Good games and thanks for playing. Hopefully, there will be less derping from my side next time :)

Sorry you didn't enjoy the last game.  Thanks for going the distance and making it to extraction with me :)

My QFI and your asari were in cover behind the same crate as the shuttle arrived.  I don't know if it was the same for you, but on my screen, they were looking directly each other, as if they were exchanging pained glances:

Your girl: "Thank the goddess that's over..."

Mel'Kayviem: "Bosh'tet geth, bosh'tet swarm... keelah..."

For what it's worth, your play this evening seemed fine to me!  You were doing fine even though you felt you weren't.  Glad you had fun with the smashdept in the Cerby game at least.  Thanks for playing, see you for some more soon!

I've been playing the Shadow a lot lately, trying to figure her out, so both the highs and lows revolve around learning when to use, and when not to use, Shadow Strike.

High:  Saw a PUG stuck in melee with a phantom, knew what was coming next, and managed to SS the phantom to death mid-sync just in time to save the PUG.

Low: Saw a lone bomber in the distance, perfect target ripe for SS!  Until I got there and realized it was two bombers stacked on top of each other.  With a cloaked hunter.  And two pyros coming around the corner.

D'oh: SS vs. another bomber, except the path of the strike took me directly along the trail of bombs it had left, whose detonations were timed perfectly just as I passed over them.  If the geth was surprised when a dead Shadow uncloaked beneath it, it showed no sign.

It took an embarrassingly long time to get those Widow points because I need to L2snipe with a single shot gun. And to reload cancel.

I know what you mean about reload-cancelling.  I was playing a duo with Mordokai yesterday using the Claymore to practise that.  The problem I have is that I'll begin reloading, then something happens that forces me to sprint for cover before the new clip has gone in, effectively cancelling the reload too early; but I don't notice!  And then there's no round in the clip when I need it!  The same thing happens when I'm playing QFI/Mantis or Widow, it's one of the reasons why I mainly keep the bolt-action snipers for Silver and use the much-more-comfortable Valiant in Gold.  No need to cancel that, so less to think about under pressure.

Ah well, it'll come with practice.

High:

Fun games!  Did some Silver pugs, a Silver duo with Mordokai, then we pugged Gold together; did three, one for each PS3-playable faction.

You never ring.  You never write.  You never fax.  To coin an old phrase.

Seriously though, I saw you guys on and should have sent you a message, rather than inexplicably pugging Plat and arriving at the start of a Geth Glacier Hazard clusterf*ck, which I suspect was with 2 first-time players and didn't end well, though I guess at least I helped earn them a few credits.

Did manage to get 20 headshots though... suppresor is a nice gun on headshot oriented stasis focused AA.

Haha, yeah, I might give that a go sometime  ;)  :P  :D

Umm, yeah, about that.......I really wish it did!

Apologies!  When I see you on, my thinking is generally "ah, he's probably busy in the middle of a game".  Next time we're both on, you will absolutely get an invitation :)

Looks like we both had "fun" in Glacier Hazard with geth yesterday, though. If we'd all been in the same game, things might've been smoother.

High:

1/ sixth banner achievement, Machine Mastery.  Loving that arc pistol.

2/ very smooth Reapers game with QMR and a quality turian pug.  I had been watching some of The Techno Turian's platinum solo videos to see how she takes on Banshees.  I noticed that when she's moving close to one, she's dodging constantly, so I'm trying to do that now in the hope I'll avoid getting synced so often.  Seemed to work in that game.

3/ very smooth Cerby game with QMR, Mordokai and GruntKitterhand.  Though I may as well not have been there, didn't even manage 25 kills until wave 11.

Low:

dire mess of a geth game with QMR that we abandoned on wave 9.  (QMR: when the pug playing the Collector was attempting to clutch, you commented that he was hardly killing anything; that's what my clutch of the geth wave yesterday must've looked like to the spectators :-)

Go ahead, I think you may like it =]

I think that game was very balanced. Sure, the two of us had less points than QMR and Grunt, but this time, I think we all contributed pretty evenly.

I was going to say the same thing - there was around a 20K spread from top to bottom and it was a very enjoyable game.  Ghost Hazard always produces additional challenges and I thought we were covering each other very nicely at times.  I know it wasn't an ideal map for QMR's melee Infiltrator, but there were clearly fewer rage missiles than usual so we must have been doing something right!!

Highlight: Pistol sniping with the Quarian Female Engineer using Arc Pistol with Disruptor Rounds, vs. Reapers on Gold. Husks and Cannibals can be Cryo Blasted then headshot directly; Marauders get their shields stripped with the first shot (thanks to Disruptor), then Cryo Blasted, then headshot.

Lowlight: no matter how many times you headshot them, you cannot cause a Banshee's head to pop off the way you can with regular humanoid enemies.

True dat :)

Also, my asari felt like a little bit of an outcast, what with three quarians around... that'll teach her to get drunk the night before mission, I guess :P

But there was sure a lot of jiggling going around in that game

Yep, I was top and I didn't even have 75 kills (though did get the 50 melee kill medal  :) ). Very efficient play from everyone.

Ghost hazard only seems to come up in rotation when I am playing goddamn melee. There only weren't rage missiles because she is fourtunately very adept at beating the crap out of the only really threatening Cerberus units. 1 heavy melee= dead fantum or goon. If it were geth, I'd have been out of missiles (and ops....and gels) by wave 5 or so. AM3 is usually better for her, but a Cyclonic would have probably meant less time hiding in buildings tending to MySoup.

Come to think of it, we had 3 quarians. Lots of talk about soup in that game . Good to see I've converted your QFE to the Church of the High Lord, as well.

I ninja-switched to a Cyclonic myself just before we headed off, as an attempt to be better prepared for a certain amount of the much fabled aggro dump from 2 Infiltrators, so MySoup remained secure for the most part.

And yeah, the Claymore was in your honour, so to speak.  It's quite glorious on her, although I will continue using other weapons.

I just want to mention a highlight from a game I played later, as I witnessed oceandrive's Smashguard launch a 'last enemy' Marauder off Rio with a Smash-induced Fire Explosion that was just..... beautiful.

Glad you and the others thought so.  Was honestly a bit disappointed that I only managed 25 kills so late in the game, even though I know I haven't got a hope of keeping up with you three.

Also, my asari felt like a little bit of an outcast, what with three quarians around...

She needn't!  We're all friends, no matter the species.  But if she's feeling left out, she could always don an enviro-suit :)

Y'know, before I joined this forum, I always heard "my suit", and it never occurred to me that it might sound like anything else.  Now, all I can hear is "my soup".  This place has infected my brain.

I have seen a Banshee's head pop.  Only once, ever; might have been a glitch?  The killing blow came courtesy of a Claymore.

This evening I was PUGging gold with my Valkyrie Sent / Talon, and dropped into a game in progress with Paulomedi (I think he's here; a good player).  He also had a Valkyrie Sent with a Piranha.  There was also a PUG (sorry if I don't remember you) that was an Asari Adept, and a Human Adept.  All with biotic ammo, and here come the poor f***ing Rippahs on Dagger Hazard.  Boom!  Boom! Boom! BE's everywnere!  Love to see those Banshees drop like flies!

With 20 seconds to extraction, I saved Paulomedi from a Banshee sync-kill with a well-timed missile, and we all extracted in under 20 minutes.

This game is still a lot of fun...

Highlight: My Javelin GI (a kit I never play but should figure out, really) Joined GiP on Reactor on W2 with an Asari, a SmashDept, and a GE. Game wasn't too bad until W10 devices, because Primes. The Asari was stomped during the 2nd device, the SmashDept during the 3rd, and the GE and I finished the last but he didn't get away in time and was stomped. Leaving a total scrub with next to no experience with the squishy GI kit, no aim ability, and few gels left, GI to clutch a Nuclear installation's worth of Primes, Hunters, Pyros, and (*spit*) Rocket Troopers. It wasn't the fastest wave ever, because it involved a lot of running away to get distance and RHA, but it worked out, mission successful. And an unexpected name at the top of the scoreboard as a bonus.

Alas, it was vanilla Reactor, no button. So my culinary skills had to be put on hold for the time being.

Man, I know that feeling.  That's real pressure.  It is normally fantastic when everything's going smoothly, but when the pressure's on it's really on.  I mean, failure with a GI? With a Javelin? In Public? Scrub status confirmed!!!  Oh, but when it works as intended, it's just glorious.  Thwump!

Highlight last night: razer057 landed in my accidental lobby where his SI / Valiant and my Destroyer / Typhoon / Scorpion gave Cerberus a pretty bad beating on White.

Lowlight: I had to quit the next game on wave 3 due to almost total frame loss.

Highlight: Due to judicious use of Sabotage, two Atlases standing toe-to-toe, meleeing the crap out of each other. And then I killed the victor with my Widow :D

Low point: Collectors, Jade, wave 8, the 3 pugs basically just going crazy and allowing themselves to be surrounded, stomped, and synced right at the start of the wave. I choose bleed-out as the least painful option.
