I couldn't especially be bothered to fight the Geth Primes by normal means. They weren't worth the time or the effort. And then the Pyro decided to missilebomb (technical term), and stuck his face in the way.

It would have been nice to kill the two Geth primes, 3 bombers and the other Pyro what I was aiming at, but it was pretty cool anyway. Just not intended. It was quite satisfying to see its head blow up as the missile hit it. And then the rest of it blew up. It was quite funny.

Yeah. I've killed a Seeker Swarm like this when aiming at a pair of Praetorians. Secret is to shoot at the ground in the middle of the group.

I also fired a missile like a hundredth of a second after someone else and it... got an assist on a swarmer.

It wasn't even a KILL on a swarmer.

It was an ASSIST.

Low: going in a gold giant reaper with a Volus Adept and tempest, just for fun, having three teammates that are either very young or just suck and solor wave 6-7-8 and fold at 9 banshee grab... (55 minutes after...)

 

Hi: actually being able to solo those waves...

 

 

 

Low2: batarian sentinel ready for UUP, dropped in a White Reaper Plat. One player just died on wave 6 devices, all four devices up. Run, do the devices and solo the wave. Then I realized is a duo.

Wave 7 start, after few seconds the other player dead (AFK?) and I soloed that too.

Wave 8 start, i go where the other is and I see a destroyer with Adas... Missile glitcher...

low: reviving pugs so much that i had gold revive by wave 3 in silver.

 

high: getting on mic (because im drinkin beers) and saying "Baallllzzzzzz!" during the loading screen at the begining and that is the only time i say anything on the mic.

then at the begining of the game stand around and watch everyone look at each other trying to figure out who said it haha.

Highlight - Saw Juggernaut do exactly the same thing with the Pyro missilebombing. Was hilarious.

Highlight: Invite from Smehur's Volus Adept, took my Saber Saboturian (because yesterday's Turian thread discussion) and we were joined by a Juggy with 150k CP. Also a DAI at some stage. Dagger Hazard Reapers, numerous Reapers were tech bursted, incinerated, biotic exploded, meleed, siege pulsed, and turreted to ashes. And I could listen to Saber boom all game long

 

Low point: I almost managed to not get downed at all. Frelling Ravager.

High Point - Krogan Shaman spamming Barrier at Cerberus

Low Point - Phantoms not impressed.  Had to spectate 3 waves after cheating Phantoms waltzed through my exploding Barrier.

Highlight: Took my almost shieldless shock-everything HFE out, landed on wave 2 Condor Geth, with a team of 2 Krogans and a Batarian. When the host started spawn nuking on w9 I asked myself why, checked the scoreboard, and found myself at the top. A long way on top. He nuked w10 as well. And w11. And he topped the scoreboard by 8k. I hope he thinks it was worth it

 

Low point: I didn't annoy him enough that he rage quit

Low point - Joined a game on Reactor. Silver against the Collectors. Wave 3.

One of the team was clearly not there, given the fact he didn't move for the entirety of the time I was there.

The other two were already dead.

And the objective was less than half complete.

With 15 seconds left.

First - what the hell happened?

Second - I quit almost immediately.

Sometimes I spawn nuke Waves 8, 9 just because I want the freakin' game to end sometime this century.

 

I do like ME3 but the matches are a little bit too long for my taste.

Highlight:  Clutching a Wave 10 devices objective on Rio Collectors (QFI/Widow).  The 4th device was right in the center, and I tried to kite the enemies away, but the PUGs kept nuking them and making them respawn right on top of them.  So I just waited for all the PUGs to die and waited for all the enemies to come down to the extraction end of the map.  With 25 seconds left, I could wait no more - I cloaked and ran right down the middle to the 4th device.  I was in the middle of doing the device, when 2 Possessed Scions at the other end of the map, who had no line of sight on me at all and apparently fired through 10 meters of solid wall (I hate Possessed Scions) plopped a bunch of grenades at my feet.  I used my last medigel and re-started the device with exactly 10 seconds left on the clock and finished just as time expired.  

 

Lowlight:  Getting immediately sync-killed on Wave 11 when one of the PUGs showed their gratitude for my clutch performance by nuking a spawn on extraction, causing a Praetorian to re-spawn right behind me.

1/ fun games with QMR, Mordokai and GruntKitterhand.  Unlocked the Black Widow and gave it a try (as QFI, natch); that was perhaps the best game of the evening.  The BW's recoil will take a bit of getting used to, and it's nowhere near as comfortable a gun as the Valiant, but three shots of near-Mantis damage before a reload?  Oh, yes please!

2/ completed another banner, Spectre Mastery.  Which I will definitely not be flying because I am pretty much the antithesis of "hardcore"

Low: wave 10 wipe on Goddess/Cerberus/Gold when an escort went horribly wrong and the team got swamped by a Phantom/Atlas death squad.

Just out of curiosity, does the BW on PS3 tend to droop noticeably after initially recoiling upwards? I ask because I wondered if it behaves the same as on Xbox? On PC, the post-firing droop is far less pronounced.

I don't remember from yesterday evening, I was aware of a lot of recoil though the specific behaviour didn't register.

 

Just did a quick test in the SP shooting range and yes it does, there's a fast kick upwards and then a slower recentre.  That's assuming that the MP behaviour is similar, I know that some guns (like the Adas) behave quite differently in SP and MP.

High Point: I did a test gold solo run on Wii U.  Geth Engineer, Tempest/Acolyte, Cyclonic Modulator 4, SMG Amp 3, Incendiary ammo 4, Shield Booster 5. Public Lobby (on Wii U, this normally gives me a few waves alone to test out the scenario and then turns into a regular MP match when mates join in).  Firebase Giant, Cerberus.  Boy, it was intense and tough but I got through 3 waves with no incident whatsoever.  Turned into a duo afterwards where things got a lot trickier, but extracted in the end with 0 missiles, 0 ops pack, and 3 gels left, I think.  Felt good to extract successfully since I was doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

 

Low Point: My hands are shaking soooo badly.  The PUG that joined was an N7 Fury and was always sticking around way too late and getting into trouble.  Did a lot of risky revive runs because I hate mates bleeding out.  Used up a lot of missiles early to clear his path while getting up from revives.  He's not a bad player, but needs more alertness when fleeing from trouble.  On occasions, he'd bump me out of my cover and I get the Atlas missile treatment.  Ouch!  Poor guy camped on the LZ and I tried to mic him to get him to the other side of Giant.  Alas, he got executed.   Cleared the match in 50 minutes-ish and from my experience, I am convinced I will not ever try to solo gold. LOL.  Way too intense and my mind has to be running at 300 kph all the time!

When it re-centres, do you notice that it actually returns to a position below where you had it pointed originally? Because that's what it does on Xbox and PC, much more so on the former.

Congratulations on your fortitude. To be honest, from your description it sounds like a solo would have been slightly easier than the way the duo went.
