Congratulations on your fortitude. To be honest, from your description it sounds like a solo would have been slightly easier than the way the duo went.

Part of me suspects that, but I remember my previous silver solos where the game looked deceptively easy until wave 10 where I'd get a bit of trouble and some unfortunate happenings to scupper my run.  When I tried a human vanguard silver solo long ago just for the heck of it (didn't even bring gear) expecting to die at around wave 6, I made it to wave 11 with no help whatsoever (with a bit of luck figured in).  Then, I dropped down a ladder in a poor attempt to hide and got phantom sync killed.  LOL.  Later attempts where I was genuinely trying were easy all the way to waves 9, and 10... and those were WITH GEAR.  :D

I think that gold solo is possible, with a lot of luck and practice, but honestly, I felt like my mind was running at so high a pace I was getting fairly drained from the match.  I think without the Fury, a couple of more waves would've gone by easier, I think, and I'd have at least 2 more missiles with me.  But, I also suspect that the later waves would overrun me.  The PUG was also helping with objectives which is always a sign of a player who actually cares about the match.

The classic way to build your confidence is to do KroGuard vs Geth on an easy map like Giant or White. (PM me if you want the pointers and can't find them.) This requires much more patience and coordination than luck. I mean, I've done it successfully more than once, and I'm nowhere near your level of quality as a player.

Low point - Started a duo gold with Quarian Master Race.

We both disconnected.

Low point - Started a gold game with Quarian Master Race, another person from BSN (Can't remember the name), and a Krogan Vanguard who was absent for most of the game.

All disconnected.

Stupid first games which always disconnect.

Now that I've learned Kroguard from one of the better European ME3 players on Wii U, I agree that this is likely the best combination.  Geth and Giant to give myself a lot of map space to run around and cover to do objectives.  I just think I'd rather play some quick games and get more credits than spending close to an hour and pounding my head. LOL.

High : I blew up a Geth Soldier squadmate with an A-Bomb , revived him , promptly blew him up with another A-Bomb , and revived him again . I would have carried on but there were no more A-Bombs , lol ;)

Low : The A-Bomb's friends gave us a total beating afterwards .

Highlight: I Batarian fisted an Assault Trooper in the butt while he was climbing a ladder and made his head asplode. I also accidentally survived a Phantom sync kill during an objective wave because I had just used an Ops pack.

Lowlight: It was on non-hazard Firebase Reactor.  :(

Highlight: Almost managed to solo Condor vs Reapers on Gold as a Kroguard. Cannibals and Husks flying everywhere.

Lowlight: The inevitable Banshee sync kill happened on Wave 7.

Highpoint: I was Phaeston turian, working my way through Cerberus with pugs that were actually playing the objective and using equipment appropriately, aside from my Turian there was a handsome Turian Havoc in the game

Lowpoint: I was shooting at a goon in w7, Goon retaliated by disconnecting me from the servers

At least I'm going to pretend that's what happened and it's not just my trash tier internet acting up again

High:
1/ fun games with QMR, Mordokai and GruntKitterhand.

Yeah, sorry I split so abruptly - how any of us made it off Ghost Hazard I'll never know.  That extraction wave had all manner of weird goings on.  The first match on Dagger was really funny though.  Playing with QMR keeps you on your toes because enemies have a tendency to die so quickly that their replacements can catch you totally unaware - as happened to me on Wave 7 when I was on my own defending the long corridor.  2.5 rage-gels later I was spinning around in circles spraying my Eagle at a corpse.  It'll be missiles next.  Just you wait.

I was about to give up on the Eagle on my Salarian Engineer after that first game, because it seemed like I couldn't hit a barn door.  I usually have the Scorpion, and I could sure have used it when a Phantom grabbed me on Wave 8, but I stuck with it when I became the host.  That did seem to make a big difference and I really enjoyed the game on Vancouver. I had a bit of fun shadowing QMR on a couple of non-objective waves, thinking I might manage to steal a few kills for fun.  No chance.  Too many headshots.

High: a few fun duos with Stephen on silver and few more fun games with him and QMR on gold. Finished 200 waves with smashdept... such an awesome character  Only 53 waves with ACA remaining for Outsider mastery. Found many amazing characters while doing this challenge and am looking forward to getting back to them once I'm finally done.

Low: lag was pretty bad and ever so many banshee hugs were received. I get the feeling this game would be oh so much more fun without massive lag spikes. Hell, I may even be a little more competent.

But only a little.

Everyone was suffering towards the end of extraction, I rebooted afterwards, looked like memleak was about to get me.

Playing with QMR keeps me on my toes because there's a very real chance I'll fail to kill 25 things and won't get a medal towards my weapon mastery challenges

Apologies for the lag, QMR was suffering also.  I shall reboot my router, see if that helps...  At least you have the lag to blame for your Banshee cuddles, I only have my hideous incompetence to blame

Low point: disconnection on wave 11 of an otherwise superb Reactor/Cerberus/Silver game.  Still got my AR medal and lots of headshots, so not a total loss.

High point: masses of turian fun today, did some Silvers and then four Golds, one with each of my deployed turians.  Got an AR medal in each one, Assault Rifle Mastery is within sight.  Best moment: final game of the evening was White Hazard/Cerberus as Tsol.  About fifteen seconds to extraction, climbed the ladder right next to the extraction zone and found a Phantom lurking at the top.  Slid back down, switched to missile launcher, climbed back up, BOOM, made it to the LZ with basically no time to spare :)

Low: I got excited when my friend went to pick up two downed pugs. Too bad they still had invisibility frames and my friend ops packed right after. No one died except for me when I missiled an abomb. Really thought I had a home run too.

It's not for me, because pugs don't know how to handle Collectors and I hate soloing.

High:  cracked 200K on Rio/Cerberus/Gold.  Nearly left on wave 1 as enemies were teleporting all over the place.

Low:  Volus PUG following me around THE WHOLE GAME spamming Shield Boost.  This was particularly annoying as my Krogan Sentinel was using the Claymore.  I ended up having to heavy melee air after every shot.

When it re-centres, do you notice that it actually returns to a position below where you had it pointed originally? Because that's what it does on Xbox and PC, much more so on the former.

Just did a game as QFI/BW to test this.  Wasn't aware of any droop at all.

I feel your pain.  Been there many times.  And they probably thought you were just exhibiting excessive Krogan violent tendencies.  Which I guess in a way you were, just not in the way it might have been perceived.

I've never had a match with a QFI where droop of any kind has been an issue.

You should be spraying missiles after 2.5 rage gels.  ;)

Your assesment of my prodigious missing of things with the Saber Quarksman is flattering  . That was a fun few games nonetheless!

Highlight: Unboxed an UR today after dozens of duds in the past four days.

Lowlight: It was the Venom IV (I still need to unlock the Valiant).

Highlight: Got 203k points on Gold/Jade/Reapers as a Drell Adept last night.

Lowlight: It was by nuking everything with Cluster Grenades.
