I should be grateful they even left me a few Swarmers. They killed everything else.

Oh, I know what you mean. I had two of those just yesterday. They killed all my melee targets, when I ran the Batguard. I had to do the melees in secret, where they wouldn't see it - or I got nothing. And to top it they manipulated my connection so my charge wouldn't work and I could not get to the enemy before them. And they deliberately picked "Geth" for enemy faction. They must have known I loathe the rocket troopers.

Highlight: 10 WS of an accidental Gold Solo attempt with the AIU vs. Cerberus on White. 20 Headshots by Wave 2. Dat Wraith with Smart Choke!

 

Lowlight:

(1) Why won't people join my lobbies?

(2) Failed to glitch the Hack on Wave 3 and 10 leading to gratuitous missile use, leaving me none for...

(3) Surrounded and gang-banged to death on extraction wave about 3 feet from the circle. Just at the bottom of the ramp, the 'goon death squad got me and I literally couldn't move. Tried to heavy melee my way out but nope.

High: Discovering that I haven't played Grandmasta Lash for some time. Scoring a falcon punch kill with him on a lashed Phantom.

 

Low: I dunno. Competing with the Asari Vanguard over grenades? But she was good - and I always have enough ammo packs. So: I got nuffin' to say, Guv. Nuffin'!

High:

 

1/ playing some _great_ games with GruntKitterhand, Mordokai and Quarian Master Race.  Playing with BSNers is a totally different game to playing pugs.

2/ second place on the scoreboard in a Silver Collectors game.

3/ completing the SMG Mastery and earning my second banner.  Which I will not use because it does not have a picture of a quarian.

 

Low:

 

the Collectors game was Hades on earth, as they tend to be, and I only scored second because I panicked and missiled all the things.  'Twill be a while before I can handle those without dropping like a fly!

High: Finally caught Marksmad online! Was nice to spam Flamer in front of him when he's sniping ^^ Also get to play with Edorian and Autumnal Skies for the first time   Hope to play with you all again!

Those Nemeses, huh? They are definitely OP.

Low:  As mentioned in the pug thread, I had consecutive wave 11 hard freezes.  First was Collectors/Vancouver, so no surprise there, but the same thing happened against Reapers on London in the very next game. 

 

High: The vast majority of my infiltrators are specced for sniper damage, but I burned a card on my MQI last night, putting 4 ranks in TC and 4 in health.  Then I equipped a Crusader X.  Oh, sweet joy.      

 

(Edit:  even the lowlight was full of highlights - exploding A-Bombs galore  )

Low:  had a run of bad lobbies where the hosts were obviously waiting to be carried and refused to put on any consumables.  Got a little fed up and decided to host a U/U/G.  This was probably the fourth or fifth game I have ever hosted as I normally play off-host.  Strangely, the game was laggy with occasional short freezes even though I am using a spanking new Intel i4790K.  After the game, I realized that I had forgotten to switch off my Swedish VPN (from half the globe away) and had a video encoding running in the background.   Aaaahh ... so that's why the PUGs kept dropping like flies.

Highlights:
DETONATE ALL THE THINGS! HumSol in a match with a Paladin last night was barrel of fun - Always nice watching things Cryo-Explode every 2 seconds if they haven't eaten a fiery explosion by me already.

 

 

Lows:
After a long ME3 break, I made a return - It's been a whole week of [a] Laggy Hosts --  [b] "Host Left The Session" on wave 8's and 9's thus kicking everyone from the game and wasting my limited consumables -- [c] Waiting 15minutes for someone to join my Plat-Lobby, only for it to be level <10's classes with level 1 weapons insta-hitting "READY" with no consumables because, you know, anyone can play Platinum.

 

I can't tell if my fascination with the AT-Raider is a Highlight or Low - having too much fun with it to care either way.

I can't really remember the highs, but a low was when I noticed the collector smg doesn't seem to have armor piecing. I thought it did but it wasn't going through a guardian shield so I had to try to shoot through the slot.

The CSMG has a damage bonus against armor, that's maybe what confused you.

Highlights: starting to play more with people off my FL. But still making new friends when I do PUG. And Collector Mastery!!!! Getting to watch Marksmad hug a LOT of Banshees in just one game.

 

Low Points: wiping on Wave 9 after being the last one standing.. Getting stuck on the loading screen once and having the screen completely freeze on another game (but was able to get back into the same game)

High point: I had a go at Gold with Quarian Master Race, Mordokai and GruntKitterhand.

It was well after 10pm by the time we had the whole crew together, so there was only time for one game, Hydra/Geth.

Decided I'd need something survivable with tech armour and made my first mistake right there: what kind of maroon takes a human sentinel against geth?  Quite what possessed me to go for the HSent over the TSent is anyone's guess.

And thus the game started.  Out of my depth?  Heck, yes.  Flailing around like the aforesaid deranged gibbon?  Most definitely.  Scored something like 30k and only got one medal, fifty assists.  Didn't even manage to kill twenty-five things!  And I messed up the extraction too.

With all that said, I'm still marking it as a high point.  Because I had a go.  And will have some more goes.  The deal was that I'd try a few games, it's impossible to judge whether I should keep trying at this level after only one attempt.

Low point: I somehow managed to avoid dropping 100 times so the squad didn't get the secret 100 revive medal ;-)

Seriously? After 300+ hours, I haven't finished a single SMG challenge yet... Locust is quite close, but not quite there. In fact, SMG mastery is the only weapon mastery missing to me. Just finished Pistol and Sniper Mastery yesterday But SMGs are the one weapon category I just don't like.

I'm not a huge SMG fan, but use them on casters a lot so it sorta came naturally.  Liking the Hornet more than I expected I would though.

Fifty assists is pretty good going in a game where QMR is killing most of what's out there, and extraction from Hydra is never going to be a certainty.  Pro tip:  Leave it till the last minute, run like f*ck, try to get into hard cover for the last 2 seconds, pray.  You were soooo close.  Defnitely fit to try some more.

 

That game was one of my highlights yesterday too, as I was coming off the back of a humiliating wave 10 Plat wipe with q5tyhj and upper-reality, which was pretty much down to me.  I equipped Geth Scanner instead of Grenade Capacity by mistake on my MQI. Two grenades is not enough on Plat, not even on White.  We got the hack with the wee nook at the back, which I was hiding in as I took out my missile, cloaked and walked out, confidently thinking I would clear the room.  A frisky Banshee had other ideas.  Sorry guys.

 

Still, q5tyhj and I had done a smooth Glacier/Cerberus/Gold duo earlier, with his Kroguard/Graal doing the heavy lifting while my FQI/Valiant mopped up.  I now know what I must sound like when I'm the only Krogan in the room - totally, utterly, gloriously, joyfully insane. Rrraaarrrrr.  We followed that up with some Batarian Jimming, where I forgot how to make the most out of the VENOM (again), but it was still a fun game.

Especially against Cerberus... at thirty seconds mark, all the goons seem to migrate towards EZ. Add a few phantoms and an Atlas pounding you from the distance and yeah... pure lottery.

 

That said, I'm pretty sure I saw a cloaked hunter walk straight over my proximity mine yesterday, without it exploding. Must be the geth thing... together with their shotgun blasts and pyro's flames having magnetic properties. Other than that, good game and I hope we can do it again next weekend.

High: I convinced two different lv1/N7=1-Players via text message to leave the gold lobby. Maybe the kick vote from another lobby member was convincing, too

 

Low: Carried the whole weekend at least one, sometimes two squadmates with high level weapon/huge N7 through gold pugs. Absolute low point was the TGI with Indra X in Reactor against Collectors. Sometimes I was not sure, where he pointed his gun:

Still laughing from a game with Quarian Master Race earlier - Geth on Dagger.

 

I doubt I've ever witnessed such rage-gelling.  It was almost artistic. A thing of beauty.
