High: I've had a load of themed games with Arkhne and one or two of his friends over the past few days, and every one has been fun. We've had all-Jugg, Volus and Asari matches, along with almost all-Krogan, Volus and Asari matches.  The Volus games were the funniest by far, and not only because I inadvertently ran the Adept with a non-bubble version of Stasis, which absolutely sucked, and then switched to the Merc just in time for a ninja-switch from Geth to Reapers.  As I said, still fun though, especially having as many as 6 little guys rolling around Jade, all nicely colour-coordinated.

 

Low: In the almost all-Krogan game I failed to get a gold melee medal.  I would guess I must have managed around 49, and the only reason I didn't get more was because I had to stop myself running through the Reactor on a number of occasions.  You know how it is when BSNers are around... 

 

All really great games

I'd like to say especially the volus one, but they were all good (Except the last one that night when I derped out with AP rounds on my AA Sniper, and utterly failed to focus enough to shoot, so I just started spamming throw hoping to detonate everyone else's biotic because I was so tired). And I may, or may not, have been trying to barbeque some Krogan (Not because I want barbequed Krogan, but I'm trying to atleast do all the BSN things atleast once, already did the possessed a-bomb in another game).

 

OT:

High: Convinced Stephenw to play an All-Volus Gold vs Reapers on Glacier. For a first time Volus player, he played like a pro. Carried us on Wave 10 when we all got sync-killed by frisky banshees after a really painful Wave 10 Devices. Look foreward to playing with them some more, promising player.

 

Low: Getting Sync-Killed on Wave 10, and having to be carried.

High: All Krolord melee pug. These are rare and to be enjoyed.

 

Low: The host preset it to Geth when they saw what three of us were ready with, but at least they kept the theme alive. I stayed for one game and left because my heart just isn't in melee vs. Geth. Also, there were very few returned headbutts.

Well, given that the lolstore trolled me with so many volus before giving me quarians, it'd be a waste not to at least try!  That was not a comfortable game, and the clutch was a combination of beginner's luck and missiles, but was also fun in an "I have no idea what the heck I'm doing" kind of way   I should go and watch some how-to-play-volus videos before trying again.

 

You have a good team, will certainly play some more with you guys.

High: The things QMR and I have just been doing to Brutes - I've never seen the like.  QMI and QFI with Valiants, Grenades and Incendiary Ammo - the debuffs and Fire Explosions were epic.  I didn't manage 5 headshots..... and I don't care. Total destruction. 

 

I will also hold dear the memory of QMR and Stephen's little Quarians scampering to the EZ just in time after a particularly tricky run across Reactor evading Collectors. 

 

Low: We had a couple of tough matches - Geth on London and Collectors on Giant, the latter of which was a wipe because I was rubberbanding and we had a leecher and a slightly naive pug who didn't understand how to kite.  Still, my counselling session with QMR afterwards went well. I think. PSN censors a LOT of words

Low: wave 10 wipe on Silver.  It was Dagger/Collectors.  Objective was devices, which went reasonably well; but then I dodged a Scion cannon and pretty much landed straight in a Praetorian's mouth.  The other players weren't able to finish the wave.  My fault for not watching where I was dodging

Atleast you dodged! Not moving/dodging/avoid is what peeves me off most about PUGs! If a scion is blasting you, or carpet-bombing you, MOVE SO I CAN GET OUT OF THE RADIUS! Serious, most of my PUG deaths seem to be me being cornered by PUGs.

 

That said, Dagger Collectors is a superb combo (sans Devices), and as long as their isn't a sandstorm, a lot of fun. In fact, "sans Devices" is a good caveat, I hate Devices, without them, the game would be so much easier (Case in point, the Wave 10 Devices in our Volus game on Glacier, every room seemed to have Banshees, or Brutes, or Ravager/MarauderDeathSquad comboes. inb4 l2p spawn control).

 

I've clutched quite a few Dagger/Collectors waves, surprisingly good map for it (If you can manage to not get hammered in the mosh pit, by, say, staying out of it), most of my clutches WERE as sniper kits though, so that may have had something to do with it.

High: Joined an ongoing gold lobby on Wii U and met a Japanese pal of mine.  I played surprisingly well against Cerberus in FB Dagger with the QFI.

 

Low: Apparently, I'm the only one playing well since my pal keeps getting executed and the others refuse to gel when going down.  After saving the team's bacon by carrying several waves on my own, I finally ran out of gel after reviving a player on wave 10 after completing all the devices almost single-handedly.  Mission failed and it was particularly expensive for me (missiles and medigels)...

A recent high: perfect teamwork. A human adept lifted a Phantom up with singularity, an Asari Adept then used stasis to bubble the Phantom mid air and then I could smash that Phantom to death with a shield bash of my N7 Paladin.

So I hadn't taken out my Claymore QFE for a while and I needed cheering up, so I gave her a big box of Incendiary ammo and we went pUUGing. Joined a lobby hosted by a QME, and were joined by a TGI and an AIU. Hey, this is pugging, right? It's what happens. So I'm thinking, great, I need carrying anyway, I'll just try to rack up a few Sentry Turret points because CP and enjoy the boom of my Claymore.

 

Low: We get Giant Reapers. I seem to get this even when the lobby isn't preset. Oh well, Husk points, right?

 

High: I checked the scoreboard after 5 waves and was surprised by who was at the top. No, wait, that's a low, because it means the rest of the team is even worse than I am. OMG.

 

Low: I had to clutch wave 4. And 8. And 7 and 9 were duos with the QME. By the end of wave 10 devices I was like, whatever, so the last 2 Banshees had a Cobra shoved up their nostrils(*).

 

High: We nearly all extracted. And I actually topscored by a fair distance, the QME was over 100k, the others a fair distance behind. I guess the TGI and AIU were shown how superior Quarians are. QMR would be proud if she ever came here anymore

 

Low: I think I may have damaged my hard earned reputation

 

Low: Over 36 minutes. Exhausting, because see remark above about clutching, which was slow because I can just about solo Bronze. With a Harrier TGI

High - Just had a game with Marksmad, Siren and idk some random PUG? Was a very fun game.  My QFI+Crusader didn't come last!!! In fact, she came second.

High - Had 3 games with SalInMR PUGing gold. Hilarity ensued. Tales of Quarian x Banshee relationships littered the texty talky thing. I can't remember how many times we were both sync killed

I also can't remember how many missiles I wasted. In the first game it was Reapers/Glacier Hazard and I kept missiling Banshees after being sync killed. Then it was Collectors/Giant which had Praetorians as my target then Dagger/Reapers so back to Banshees

There was also talk of Banshee threesomes from SalInMR and general raging on my part. I'd like to think we had the PUGs scared or laughing

High: completed Map Mastery.  The game that won it was an epic London/Reapers struggle with Arkhne, his buddy and a newbie.  Waves 6 and 10 were both escort, and we were trolled mercilessly both times.

High: HowlingSiren and I went pugging, she as SmashDept and me as KroSent. We got Geth Reactor Hazard first. I got locked in the reactor on wave 2 (but Ops'ed my way out alive). Siren swears she didn't hit the button, so I have to believe her, don't I? However, I did hit the button on her (and one pug) and locked her in with a Prime. It cost me a missile to get her out again but it was so worth it

 

Extra high: On wave 8, I got a Lift Grenade killstreak, my first ever.

 

High: Then a KroSent joined so Siren switched to KroGuard. We got Giant Reapers and a very good Juggy joined. The game was easy except for:

 

Low: Husks spawning all around me on wave 1 and Siren being picked out of a charge by a Banshee.

 

Then Siren switched back to SmashDept, and a Huntress and TGI joined, and we got London Cerb.

 

High: I got a group of 3 Phantoms with 4 Lift nades

 

Low: As the only non-infils, we got a lot of aggro but since that led to extensive rage missiling by a pissed-off Krogan, some would consider it a high

 

High: In the course of the evening, we discovered that Origin Voice Chat works far better for in-game communication than the built in voice system. And it has the advantage of providing a closed party system like XBL's, allowing one to talk about the pugs without affecting their egos either way.

By coincidence, I did too. Even better, I completed the wave that rolled it over by smacking a Collector Trooper off the hill on Condor

High - Played some games with SalInMR. No PUGs came so we changed it to silver and 1 joined and then Bronze and another joined then upped it back on to Gold. We got Collectors/Giant and the Bronze PUG left and the Silver PUG was topscoring. A Turian/Sabre PUG replaced the Bronze one.

Then we had Rio/Cerberus and I was using the Typhoon on my QFI and I was topscoring until SalInMR missile spammed.

Then I switched to the particle rifle for White/... Reapers? Was that or Cerberus.

Then we had Collectors/Giant again and I discovered how to change size. Hilarity ensued when my Quarian ascended to godhood. It amused a Volus PUG quite a lot.

Then it went back to White for Cerberus or Reapers (don't keep track sorry XD), and then I went to bed.

 

SalInMR keeps making inappropriate sexual advances towards my Quarian (whose name is Kela). He complimented her hips today. She's already in a relationship with a Banshee so idk what he's doing.

Low - waiting for my first lobby in awhile to fill up already... 

 

High - Heineken powered up and ready to go.

 

 

Will be back to let you guys know how it went. I'm playing it safe with Juggernaut Spitfire, in case I got too scrubby during my vacation...

Low - Decided on Disrupter Rounds 4 only to get the Armour faction called evil Reapers.

 

High - Justinman joined with a flaming Vorcha to help with all the evil armour. He played the Vorha Sol properly too. Hear lots of fire explosions.

 

Low - nobody stuck around. Lobby taking forever to fill up.

 

High - I'm all set for the next match with Claymoar Disrupter Destroyer... if it takes too long to fill, I'm going back to Dark Souls 2...

It's quicker to just search and join in progress than host your own.  Plus you get a fun minigame seeing how late you join and how many waves it takes you to top the board.

Low: People that don't fckin gel!!!!!!!! I'm tired of pugging gold and getting in 1: a lobby with people with Phaeston I and Phalanx IIIs, and 2: joining games in which people NEVER gel and will bleed out during objective waves or just whenever. Especially during collectors matches. 

 

Obviously I'm not good enough to clutch every wave. Just... ffs. It has gotten worse in the past two weeks, I don't know what's happening.

 

High: I finally maxed my rare weapons. Hopefully I'll get the QME and the Jug before I get all 700 color options for every character.  ...

High:  Took out my entire team with a single Possessed Abomination!  And I did it using an over-cover grab, which is a first for me.  I saw the opportunity, and I took it.  Very effective technique if your team is in a hack circle.

 

Low:  Took myself out too, but I guess that's to be expected, given the situation.

 

Verdict:  Worth a medigel to accomplish that feat.

High:  BSN game with JGDD and TornACL!

 

Low:  We picked up a random pug, and he missiled a possessed abomination to blow me up with it!

 

I didn't recognize him as a BSNer, but he obviously has some past experience.
