Highlight: seeing BrickyRacer, whom I helped to start to play Bronze only a short time ago, in the middle of the scoreboard of a Gold game

Low point: being at the bottom of the same scoreboard :P

You taught me well mark :)

Low point: utterly failing to get a game with Mordokai this evening despite repeated connection attempts.  The 'net pixies are capricious and their ways unfathomable.

High point: White/Reapers/Gold as QFE with Quarian Master Race and two pugs.  Actually managed to kill 25 things this time.  Bottom-scored, of course, but there wasn't much between me and the two pugs.  Which is a positive sign.

I'll play a few more Gold this weekend to see whether I want to stay at this level.  It all gets a bit frantic in the later waves, but I might adjust to it.  I adjusted to Silver, after all.

Bricky, you are so kind and generous, and I would dearly love to claim credit, but you clearly learned it for yourself, and if anyone taught you it was Clyde, who is somewhat less entitled to wear the title of scrub than I am.

But that said, bloody well done and I'm jolly impressed.

Highlight: Started a Platinum Duo (Ghost vs. Cerberus) with ark in which we collectively used 3 Medi-Gel, 4 Ops Packs, and 2 Missiles in the first wave, then we pulled ourselves together until two more people arrived on Wave 3, and we finished with full extraction.

Lowlight: Started a Platinum Duo (Goddess vs. Reapers) with ark in which we chumped out on Wave 4.

Highlight: Started another Platinum (White vs. Reapers) in which I carried a Wave and later ark carried a Wave, cycling the map in the face of relentless Banshee and Ravager fire.

Lowlight: Chumped out on Wave... 6?...

TL;DR I used to be better at this game.

Bottom line: Punishment packs don't work as a form of operant conditioning.

Recommendation: TWO punishment packs after mission failure. Or three.

Ark saying to a Phantom, "Please don't stab me!". Mad Plat games with BioticPulse, Lady Havoc, and FlusherJaguar, and later with ark, Schuey, Paunchy and Gaborize.

I think I got most of my scrubby ones out of the way with JRandall  but they were fun

And I find that if you ask nicely - sometimes - Phantoms will let you use an ops pack before they impale you ;)

Low light
A plat game on Dagger versus collectors with Ark and two pugs which wiped pretty bad on wave 4, although it was quite funny watching the last pug trying to clutch in vane.

High point
Ark presetting the next match to the same configuration and between us (with a little help from our pug/jugg friend) getting sweet revenge.

That's twice in row on that map that I've wiped against Collectors on wave 4...hopefully it doesn't become a thing lol

At least we kicked some major ass on the Revenge Run tho

1 v. 1 me bro.

Thunderdome Dragondome.

I call dibs on the Sabre Volus Arcane Warrior.

Fixed!!!!! :)  ;) :D  :P :P

IDK how recent it was but I got a hummer during a match once! That was a highpoint!

Lowpoint, having to make up stories of getting a hummer.

Does blowing up TNS with a possessed ABomb count as a high or a low point?

Anything collectors related is a high point :D

OT:

Highlights - 3 fun games with Chealec and Smehur with melee action, some sniping, some CQC, and a lots of other stuff!

Low point: Getting disconnected while playing with Smehur and Chealec

High point: The disconnect was during a cerberus game :P

Low point: one of the players I just met sent me a message asking me to facebook them.  <_<

You forgot to mention it was a Cerberus game on ****ing Dagger ****ing Hazard ;)

Ended up with a wipe on wave 10 pizza delivery when I got shanked by a Phantom when just about to pick Smehur up off the floor - the 1 random we had, had bled out somewhere on the other side of the map near the start of the wave. That was a really harsh pizza delivery mission.

High: topped scoreboard with GI using Craptor. Even soloed a few waves.

Low: I wouldn't need to solo those few waves if I wasn't such a ****** in a first place.

High: Got my Squad Elite mastery... finally... after being stuck on 98 revive medals for about 2 days. Mostly thanks to a nice Krogan who kept going down on Wave 10 hack in the reactor(not Hazard, or maybe I could have gotten it sooner  ).

High: having a huge amount of fun playing my HE with Falcon and explosive ammo. Thanks, BSN!

Low: Getting sync-killed by a Banshee that snuck up behind me during a Wave 10 of a silver duo, leading to the team's wiping out that round. And by a phantom that snuck up behind me during a later game.... Killing that big boss or group of mooks in front of you.... oodles of XP...NOT getting sync-killed while doing it because you looked behind you occasionally....priceless.

Lowlight: Collector freeze on Glacier Hazard, as mentioned in the last pug thread.

Highlight:  Once I'd done my system check I decided to have one last quick game before bed.  I got an invite from Quarian Master Race and found myself in SterlingPhoenix's lobby - I know he used to be a regular here but I'm not sure he still posts.  Private ID too, so I can only publicly tell him that I respond equally and happily to twig, twiggy, tig, tiggy or tee-wig, and thanks for the revives.  A dirty, dirty, dirty, sneaky, cheating Geth Rocket Trooper / Bomber combo had cost me 2 rage gels, and might have cost me 2 more had it not been for his timely arrival.

Anyway, my 'last quick game' turned into 3 of the fastest games I've played in a while, including a 19 min Collectors / London game with pizzas, devices and a wave 10 hack in the not-quite-central bit on the side of the EZ, nicely managed by shared missile responsibility.  And the game before on Dagger Hazard against Reapers was one of those pretty rare occasions where everybody contributed more than 100K.

A good squad, including aceofdiamonds21, made me glad I didn't chicken out from playing U/U, as I had resolved never to do again.

The London game would have went faster if I had gone with my gut and put the Saber on my Quarksman instead of the goddamn Revenant. I was surprised to have scored so well with it considering I spent the whole game cursing at it for being useless. Sterling's fun though. You should have been there for the earlier game when I got him and the other two by kiting and nuking 3 possessed Abombs between all of them.

Dagger hazard game with our arcnade bros. was probably the least annoying game I've ever played there. It was probably because you don't need to actually see the enemies to chuck grenades in their general direction and get killstreaks ;)

Low point : Spending far to much time with this game. I quit WoW a few years ago promising myself never to waste so much time on a game again.

Highlight : After almost 700 hours played still loving every second of it, damn you Biovar for creating something as amazing as MEMP.

Highs:

Topping board on multiple games with the Juggmeister - Revenant & IncRounds (full tank build).

Lows:
Topping the death-charts previous to above mentioned games when I realized I waltzed into Platinum with a 100% melee Jugg. Watching things turn to goo in 2 seconds was fun and all - but surviving long enough to see it happen was rare...

Yesterday was an evening of mixed fortunes for my QFI in Gold-level missions.

High points: two games vs geth with Quarian Master Race and Mordokai, with good pugs making up the teams.  I know I pulled my weight in those games and made good contributions.  Mel'Kayviem had tremendous fun ridding Dagger and Jade of the heretic bosh'tet toaster infestation.

Low points: two games vs Reapers, wiping both times.  The first one was White Hazard.  QMR and I started as a duo hoping to pick up some players; as it turned out, we only picked up a human soldier who needed even more help than I did (though did rez me at least once) and we were unable to hold it together past wave 9 or so.

Mordokai was supposed to join us for the second game, on Rio, but the 'net pixies had other ideas.  Instead, we had two pugs; one was an asari who was a good player and carried wave 9 after QMR got synced.  The other was a krolord who never quite cottoned on to the fact that meleeing Banshees is a bad plan.  The game all went wrong in wave 10 when both pugs got synced early on, leaving QMR and me to attempt duoing a centre hack.  I'm still too green to be able to do much in the late wave boss swarms.  I made the best of it by running away and trying to shelter in the places below the stairs that are still within the hack circle, so was able to contribute to completing the objective and earning the credits.  We wiped soon after, but at least we got the cash!

The takeaway from that and from the successful lunchtime game with LaughingBanana is that I can contribute perfectly well to a Gold game as part of a team of four, but am nowhere near ready to be able to help with a clutch, and find swarms of Banshees and Ravagers completely overwhelming.  Basically, the same situation I was in with Silver when I joined the forums a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder how I shall fare today?

QMR clearly has you totally indoctrinated.

Seriously though, keep it up, you're clearly improving rapidly and having a lot of fun. And I, for one, enjoy reading about it. Thank you. :)

Thank you for the encouragement!

Did a couple more before lunch as Sol'Kayviem (QME).  Was rather off my game, even struggled against geth, and completely failed to notice a Banshee hugging QMR in a Reaper game until it was too late.

My internet connection was horrendous this weekend. It would be easy to blame everything on the servers and I'm sure they carry a big part of the burden anyway. But I can't blame it all on it... don't know what the problem was, but hopefully, next weekend will be better. Hope to see you guys again then :)

In other news, you outscored me yesterday on Dagger/geth! Our baby quarian is growing up so fast...

*sniff* I'm so proud!
