We can talk about cold in a few months. Finland introduced me to these odd things called "Winter" and "Snow", I'd never experienced them before as Australia is all "Summer" and "Sunburn".

1) I knew the Host, they were Australian.
2) I lived in Australia until about 3 years ago.
3) I've had everything from Dial Up to ADSL, all it all sucked like hell.
4) 1mb/s? Don't make me laugh! That's pretty much not going to happen in AU, getting that speed (Not just ADVERTISED at that speed) with enough data allowance (Australia Internet charges for Uploads AND Downloads) to play PSN games will cost you about $160/month.
No way. I have 7-10 MB Internet and I only need to pay around 15 bucks a month, with no data caps too, and I live in Indonesia, which I truthfully consider one of the worst places in the world in terms of good Internet service.

Sounds fun, interesting time to do it too. I worked up north, Google Diavik Diamond Mine, Lac de gras. Was based outta there. Only been in Northern Canada though (Canadian here).

Seriously though, I didn't know that's where you were off to. Every biker in the world views Deadhorse on a map and gets a glint in their eye (Why? Because it's there), so it's fair to say I'm jealous, even if you are doing it in a cage

Sorry for the double post, but just did some browsing to check current prices.
www.optus.com.au is FINALLY offering an unlimited internet (For $95/month no less!), and www.telstra.com.au is offering 1TB data allowance for $95/month. These will likely be DSL equivalent connections. Even more fore 3G Internet (Most common in Aus, also the only available connection in many places). www.vodafone.com.au is still horrible, couldn't find an allowance above 50GB (Then charged extra), and that was $140 per month, but that is 3G internet, so not enough for gaming (USUALLY advertised at 8mbps, but I've never got anywhere near that, fastest transfer rate was 300kb/s, so 1.8mbps, and that was ONLY at 3am, during the day is was <50kb/s, or <400kbps, assuming my maths is at all close).

You should, they're both really good. Soundtrack of the movie is also great, with a couple of Eddie Vedder songs that give me chills.
Just rolled the SI / Mantis - only managed 10 headshots - so the scrub jury remains out. Otherwise stomped a load of toasters into oblivion. It's the best common weapon by a mile, great fun, and you're on for some duoing. And themed games in general - gonna have to do some more Volus games with Arkhne too.
I just had a couple of Turian matches, mostly Sentinels, and the host was very good. His BW gave my Arc Pistol a run for its money, but even a few late missiles couldn't outdo the gun which turns even scrubs like me into headshot machines. TEXTBOOK!
