I get really upset when I end up doing something stupid and get downed early on. Sometimes, I go as far as wave 7 or 8. Sometimes, only wave 3. The result is the same and I always end up losing and solos take so long to do it's annoying to start over. lol.

Geth Juggernaut with Incendiary Ammo Lancer on White Reapers. It's not fast (40mins) but it is safe (And easy). Brutes are Ravagers die so fast that they are excellent for budget depletion, marauders and banshees(when in pairs) are the only real threats due to the damage they can do in the time it takes to kill them. Geth Juggernaut's immunity to grabs means husks wont grab you off devices, and a hex shield will almost always buy you the time needed to do a device (brute/banshee stagger being the only threat to them). Some people advocate Reegar/Battlemaster vs Geth, but I find him too boring, and Geth stagger sucks for objectives.

I should've probably point out that this is on Wii U although I've sworn never to use the Juggernaut kit on PC. I have done gold solo using Reegar/Battlemaster vs Geth on Giant. It was ridiculously easy. Since then, I've tried other kits and have not had any success whatsoever. It's just crazy.
Low: Tried a solo gold and went down on Wave 3 at which point I decided to call it off. Why do I even keep trying solos when the result is always the same?
Soloing is at least as much (if not more) about patience/persistence than it is about skill. When you decide to go solo, be prepared to try it at least several times before you quit; accept the idea that redoing is a normal part of the process. You don't notice just how much this game depends on luck when you're in a team - but a bad objective will screw up a solo no matter how good you are, and there's nothing you can do about it other than cast the dice again. So, you know, cast'em again!
I'd also recommend watching some recorded runs, that turned the tide for me more than once when I thought some solo was impossible.

Not really bad luck in this case, Marauders have the bad habit to camp the hack circle. Kiting the other enemies was the good strategy but when you come back you always have to kill the Marauders lol.

I don't know how to glitch the hack circle, but, I also don't want to start now. Noted re: marauders. 
One other time, I had two banshees chasing me and I got a little greedy and said, one more acolyte slug on her. When I needed to take flight, I tried to run but my poor human sentinel decided to hug the wall like there's no tomorrow. Oops. Sync kill. LOL!

High: Still no HD tv and managed to play through platinum with some very good players on the Gamepad mini screen. It didn't feel all that different, to be honest.
I absolutely had a blast with it while running through the map as the Medi-geth Engineer.

^^^ Though I shouldn't complain at the RNG pixies too much because they did grant me an N7 Eagle today, following three very enjoyable Gold pugs (my asaridept contributing to a hard battle against geth in White, and utter routings of Reapers in Glacier and Cerberus in Vancouver). The host was flying a BotB banner and played like they'd earned it.

Eagle is an unpopular gun (Probably because it isn't the Harrier or Reegar?), but is a superb gun (especially at higher levels). Sure, it's not the highest dps in the game, but it is one of the lightest guns in the game. I put it on maybe too many characters, but I find it is a great gun for power spammers who skip passives so that they keep 200% cooldowns, and still don't suck with a gun. It is also, in my opinion, the best gun for the TSol, Turian passive solves the recoil, marksman makes this already accurate gun a precision tool of death, whilst improving the guns main downside (rate of fire).
tl;dr Eagle rocks. Put it on TSol or Power Spammers, and kill stuff.

well anyway, dont give up on W3, dying on the first few waves is never the sign of a future fail , or maybe sometimes;p

He had a go in spite of not having finished that challenge yet. He rather liked it. Tore through Brute armour with Tactical Scan and Marksman both active. The AP IV ammo made it feel like cheating.
That aside...
Low: Hazard Ghost/Cerberus/Gold wave 10 wipe. Would it be sour grapes to blame the player with a BotB banner (and off-colour PSN ID) who barely survived a single wave? But my own errors were entirely my fault. Apologies, QMR; one day, I will be able to duo Cerby with you, but that day has not yet come.
High: the above was more than made up for by a wonderful Claymoar Jade/Reapers game, followed by an equally wonderful annihilation of geth using Widows.
Biower plz: final game of the evening ruined by hard freeze.
