High: Novaguard detonations. Utterly sweet games with friends with me rocking the Novaguard  vs Reapers.

 

First was on Vancouver with a basic Human Adept, a Collector Adept, and a Volus Adept, tanked 3 brutes, 2 banshees, and a ravager on the ramp between the extraction zones on one wave, before everybody showed up and the detonations began.

 

Second was even better, Hydra with Justicar, Collector, and Human Adepts. Bubble on the back ramp, and death to Reapers.

 

Low: Trollstore continued to troll.

 

My new favourite hobby is detonating as a Novaguard.

I once played a PUG with someone playing a Novaguard in a way I've not seen since.  Basically using lifting shockwave to prime, and nova to detonate.  Probably not the most effective use of the kit, but certainly interesting, and the guy played it really well.

High:  Had a great game with Mgamerz and two non-BSNers.  I understand that the game was streamed live.  Many husks and A-bombs were obliterated.

 

Low:  Could only stay for one game.

I agree that no human being deserves such disrespect, but I sometimes frankly doubt the mods are humans, based on the idiotic behavior of theirs. And lets face it, I'm saying aloud what most of us only think. If I get punished for that, no biggie and no harm. And I don't hold it against you.

 

With that in mind, your post and your statement comes across as just slightly hypocritical.

The latest fiasco with mods giving someone a warning point for "necroing" a thread that was fully relevant and in the resource library for Christ sake was too much. No apology no nothing. And yet they clearly screwed up. And it's not the first time either.

The mods should be held accountable for their actions instead of playing tiny gods with no real oversight.

Bringing us back on topic...

 

High: had a go at playing Smashguard in Gold, rolled Glacier Hazard/Reapers.  Two of the players were inexperienced and underequipped, so the game ended up being effectively a duo with a very competent HEng.  Unfortunately the host was too laggy for vanguarding; the HEng was also feeling the lag because they got Banshee'd on wave 7 or 8 and I had to clutch it.  We ended up wiping on wave 9 after I got grabbed and the HEng ran out of gels.  I'm still saying it's a high though: I had a go at something new, and with less lag, I think the HEng and I would have been able to carry it through to extraction.

Low point - plastering backside to cover when I didn't mean to.   I was sprinting towards Praetorian, meaning to shoot it but instead got into cover, got grabbed and died. Of course, it would happen just when I and another player were left. And it would happen that I was racking up everything while the other three were at their moderate best. Wiped.

 

High point - didn't play for quite some time. Glad to know I still can throw biotics.

Middle of the day, about to goof off with a game, and PandaSonix  trolled invited me to a game with Aedolon/Caerdon and HardcoreSalmon

Unfortunately, everyone else died during the Wave 10 hack and so I was left alone to try to finish the job. Then this happened:

 

 

I literally could not move, or in fact do anything at all. Except die

 

Then we all wanted another, and this is how the wave 10 hack went this time:

 

 

Yes, a lot of A-Bombs blew up right there. surprisingly, we made it through, although only one actually made it out alive:

 

 

Also, this is probably the only time in the history of the universe that I will have outscored Aedolon/Caerdon
