Low: I just played my first cheated game.

One of my PSN friends, who I play silver with occassionally, invited me. I accepted, chose the Krolord and joined. Firebase Dagger, Reapers. At the beginning, I heard a Banshee cry. I was confused as f*ck, what? Pressed start: PLATINUM. Holy crap, he cannot possibly think I am capable of properly surviving platinum with this kit? I knew one of the other guys, he is a BotB-owner, met him back on silver a few times. Game started, I avoided sync-kill units except Brutes, concentrated on Marauders, Ravagers and whatnot. I survived two waves, but something was off, waves ended too early. It was wave 3, when I met the BotB guy while doing objectives, and I realized. He was using the missile glitch. I considered quitting insantly, on the other hand, this was only my second platinum game, so I thought this will be good experience (and needed Jumbo Packs). So I succumbed to the dark side, I stayed and tried to stay alive, avoid the missile guy and concentrated on non sync-kill units and helped with objectives. I sucked, of course. When the game ended, I insantly quitted.
I got another invite seconds later. I told him I want to play silver, not platinum. He said okay. So I fired up my lvl 4 Geth Infiltrator, who was in need of some levelling up, and joined. Firebase Reactor, Reapers. Platinum again. Okay, I will quit. However, **** hit the fan: the BotB guy wasn't able to activate the missile glitch! Reapers have come, and it was a slaughter. On the spawning spot, everybody died, except me, because I have run out to snipe. I got messages from the others: stay down, stay down, stay down! I thought like the hell I will! I was invited, and I will solo this wave with my level four, zero equipment Geth! I started, played for some minutes, got 13000 points before I got killed. Sniped some Brutes, a Banshee, some Husks and Cannibals. I collected the 2-3k xp as a compensation and quitted. Needless to say, got another invite. I turned it down, only invite me if you play a clean game. (What did he think by the way, why did I quit twice from his lobby?) He said ok. No fourth invitation.
I'm pretty sure I will never see him again.

To one especially thick PUG that I won't name: There is a simple exploit that allows you to leave the hack circle while still transmitting, as long as you are the one to activate it. Were you as good at the game as you claimed, you would have known this. First grade stuff here. And had you been paying attention instead of running your mouth, you would have noticed the killfeed repeatedly flashing '4 players uploading', as well as my text chat cursing you out for being a moron. And you and your two cronies wouldn't have felt the need to kick me after the match. You're welcome for the carry all the same.

Actually, that "exploit" works fine when soloing but does not really work in a PUG.  Observe the progress bar and you will understand why.

It only works on-host. For all others the bar will get about half full. This is due to host overriding all discrepencies between host and client.

I'm never going to BotB this account, it's to remind me what it's like being a pug with low level weapons and only a couple gels and ops packs and no piercing mods and no useful gear and no level 4 equipment and only level 2 stuff in sufficiency. And to get kicked or have the host leave half the time one joins a lobby. It's humbling.

 

Marksmad has 2 accounts on WiiU, one on Xbox (maxed, BotB), one on PC that's maxed and BoTB, and maybe this one, depending on whether you believe Mark and I are the same person (I think it's doubtful, myself.)

Must be a PC thing. Because everytime I've done it off-host, despite it showing for me correctly for me, it's not worked.

 

I was ingame with Trouzerz, he was hosting.  I set the lower Giant Hack circle and left it.  Ran around the corner, showing 4 people hacking on my screen, and his as well.  When Hackett told me we were 50% done, Trouzerz got the same notice.  I Cryo Ammo'd 3 Brutes coming down the hallways, bottlenecking them and everything behind them, eventually entering the circle with around 10% to go.

Indeed. So, just like playing with the common PUG... except that they usually don't even rage gel or missile anything (perhaps W11 if not stingy), so a lot better even in that regard.

Low: Phantom with one bar of health nailed me in the middle of Shadow Strike animation. Should have known better...

You can glitch the hack off host on the PS3, it's just harder to pull off than when hosting. I've done it several times

High: completed my 2nd gold solo with another exorbitant time (less than an hour, barely). Both were using "easy" mode with Kroguard/Reegar/incendiary ammo. One on Giant and one on Vancouver. I am a true testament to persistence paying off. And enjoying trying to play multiple characters. So I will be sporting my shiny new BotB banner which I expect to confound most pugs when I play with my usual scrubbiness.
