Spoiler

I like this Theory. I would totally start massacring everybody and become a Tyrant over it.

I agree completely. This is a much more plausible and digestible reason for it, b/c the portrayal of him as a whiny, crying, sniveling, talented brat in the new 1-3 is almost too much to take, given Lord Vader's reputation and whatnot in 4-6. I mean, the guy is the ultimate badass, no-fucks-given villain.....the whining is just too much. DAMN YOU HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN!

Well he did the best he could with the lines that were given to him.  Don't shoot the messenger!

Yeah, it had nothing to do with Hayden Christensen and everything to do with writing and direction.

I'm not saying I think the writing was superb, it wasn't. But how the lines are delivered and the persona the character takes on is largely up to the actor. He could have easily been dark and brooding in delivering those lines as he was whiny and childish. So yes, the lines are the lines, but the delivery is what made them so bad.

Take Pirates of the Caribbean for example. Johnny Depp's portrayal of Jack Sparrow, the movements, the idiosyncrasies, his mannerisms when he walked and talked, all of that was how Depp chose to portray him, how he saw the character. Christensen would have been well-served to have chosen a different portrayal for his character.

If Christensen's Anakin was just one a few bad characters, you'd be right. But he wasn't. All characters in the prequels were horrible, and that's a sure sign that the fault doesn't lie with the actors, but with the director and the writers.

Your Jack Sparrow comparison is meaningless. Christensen didn't have free hands in deciding how to portray his character.

Low: a "quick silver PUG" to get some credits proved less than expedient

High: The Spectre pack I bought yielded Collector SMG X which maxed my manifest

This is not the clip I'm looking for.  But I suppose any clip would do.

High: Nuking a pair of Atlases, taking out the Guardian I hadn't seen that was with them, and completing Cerb Mastery :D

Low: Another pair of Atlases, facing away from me, about a metre apart. Fire Cobra at the ground between them. They are unhurt, and within a millisecond I am simultaneously hit by TWO Atlas Rockets, downed, and exectuted by one of them - guess they heard about the high through CSN (Cerberus Social Network) already :P

mb it's a bit of both...

Oscars can go separately to directors and actors.

High: a couple of solid pUUG games with my leet PC manifest, both times as the Human Adept because I luuuuuuuurve biotic explosions.

Low: damn, it takes forever to kill a Praetorian with a Mattock and no AP mods nor ammo.

High: bought some packs and got some AP ammo so I was able to headshot some Guardians in the next game. That never gets old.

The hitbox is directly above the stack of enemies, towards the ceiling, iirc, aim there and you'll kill them as normal.

Very good to know, but I seem to remember someone nuking the area and they still survived.

... Well he did say the hitbox is above, and that doesn't necessarily mean a "head". Nuking the floor still have a limited radius...

Indeed, and iirc they also nuked the pipe over them, which probably means that the hitbox must be closer to the ceiling than I thought  ;)

Low: all Revenant challenge with Brannigan, ctc91, and Drake. We went U/U/P and ended up with Collectors on Jade. Drake and I were Turian Soldiers and Brannigan and ctc91 were Juggernauts. There was some Incendiary Ammo involved, but I went with Armor Piercing ammo so I could appreciate the Revenant in its purest form.

We immediately discover that it takes an entire Revenant clip to kill an Abomination.

After Drake and I died approximately a dozen times each on the first two waves (not exaggerating), we got into a rhythm. And I will admit that the DAKKA DAKKA of the Revenant *sounds* awesome, but its actual effectiveness isn't nearly as awesome.

The game was a slog and took 30 minutes.

High: To quote Drake, 'Let us never speak of this again.'

Drake was the other Jugg, and I was the other TSol.  It was me who kept getting downed with you.  That was a ridiculous game though, an even harder slog than the Avenger game (though that might have been gold, I can't remember).  Maybe that's an idea for the next challenge.

I suggest we go in the opposite direction of an automatic weapon challenge and do something like only use the Mantis on Platinum.

I am terrible at sniping and reload-canceling so the Mantis really strains my abilities.

Yeah, it's been a looong time since I've played (although re-visiting these forums makes me want to go back and play a bit; if I can finish my DAI plat this weekend, maybe I will!) but I seem to recall it's wherever they spawn from up in the ceiling.  It's like the enemies jump down but the hitbox stays up in the spawn point.  As for nuking, I don't remember having tried it, I would think it would have worked, but since bullets eventually got them dead, I was never in a game where someone nuked the area.

I think the worst enemy glitch is still the invisible reapers on Condor...

I'm up for this, though the mantis is possibly too good a gun for this sort of challenge.
