Hello! You may know me from the Mass Effect 3 forum. Anyway, I have an issue while trying to get the Assassin specialisation...

I have 2/3 Assassin-Tokens and know where all 3 locations to find them are in Crestwood. The first time I made to the Fisherman's hut, I found thr assassins, but I was using the Astrarium nearby. After I was done, the assassins were gone. I have exited and entered Crestwood, kept reloading saves, etc to get the assassins to spawn. I know you can get the tokens in Valammar as well, but I can't be bothered right now.

Are the assassins only encountered once in a location, or what?

just crestwood yes, you can find a location guide on youtube.

Specialization tokens can be dropped by any enemy (of the proper type). However, only the named locations are guaranteed to do so.

I do know what type of enemies I'm ment to fight and where they are. The thing is, I can't seem to get them to spawn again at the area near Fisherman's Hut.

You can find plenty of assassins in Hafter's Woods in Hinterlands.

You know how things sometimes fail to spawn? You'll be wandering around Skyhold looking for Leliana or Cullen or Blackwall and the head silhouette is there showing where they should be, but they aren't? That can happen to the specialist mobs, too. When I did the assassin specialization, NO assassins were in Crestwood. I found 2 in the Western Approach and 1 in the Emerald Graves.

FYI; still seems to be a problem in Patch 3 -- the assassin's near the fisherman's hut in Crestwood never spawned for me.   Went to Western Approaches and never got any.  Hours later I finally went to Valammar and save-scummed until the Carta Leader dropped it (took about 5 tries to get it).

Ugh I remember this on my first play through.

 

I obtained one where I should, women near the shack then farmed the Carta Dwarf in Hinterlands and one in the western approach I believe.
