It could work, considering that the only relevant characters that can be flirted with are Cassandra and Cullen.

Aside from Dorian, haven't all romanceable characters already made their appearnce by the time you do Champions Of The Just? So that is a bit more than two.

I know, that's why it narrows it down based on relevance. Only Cullen and Cassandra of the characters we can flirt with can take a leadership position in the Inquisition.

That would be brilliant. I mean, we all went into this game with na idea of who we wanted to romance, right?

The game leads us to believe we have completed part 1 and are being rewarded with romance content.

And then, Envy Demon.

Wouldn't all of this be taking place inside the Inquisitor's head? Who is possibly getting violated in any way other than the player's character, and only in a dream scenario? Is that how far we're going now, dreams?

Women are educated about the dangers or rape more, and are far more likely to be raped

Feminist lies. Men are likely to be raped just as women are, you only hear about the female rape hysteria more because that's what the feminist mainstream is willing to report.

Indeed. And if Bioware made the dream sequence subtle enough, enough players might be fooled into thinking that the scene is simply the romance being locked in early in this game.

I just don't understand why BioWare always has to throw the baby out with the bathwater. If there's one weird or crappy aspect then change that aspect, don't scrap the whole thing.

To be fair it's an envy demon.

It should've focused on the PC's personality. Not on lust for Leliana.

It'd make far more sense for it to probe into your past and to try to find out what makes you tick.

Precisely. Chances are word would spread very early on but a great number of people might still be fooled.

It would have to be exceedingly suble. No Cassandra asking the Inquisitor for a quickie behind the Chantry. But, if done right, just imagine the look on everyone's faces.

I wouldn't say you only hear about it more because of the "feminist mainstream," but instead just because men are less likely to report it.

Like women, men too face negative consequences of gender roles, and in this case, it's that men can never show certain emotions, least they cease to be considered men at all, losing all societal value .

I wish people understood that more, because it's really terrible. Imagine a lot of this stuff that the modern feminist movement is going through, only you weren't allowed to even talk about it. I barely even want to write this post talking about how no one talks about it, and should probably try to end this post with a fart joke to retain some manly aloofness and indifference.

I can understand why some may have been uncomfortable with that.

Having said that, the entire sequence would have taken place inside the Inquisitor's head. Nothing that happens with the Envy demon is real...it is all a vivid dream in a sense. The Inquisitor would have been no more violated during that than during any of the other torments or psychological probing that Envy inflicts on him/her.

Even if they'd just cut out the "seduced by a creepy demon" part the original plan still sounds better than what we got. I love the idea of not realising we're in the Fade, going around Haven/Skyhold talking to the companions/advisors and getting the feeling that something slightly "off" but not enough for it to be initally obvious that it's not real. Shame.

What about Josephine? She is someone you can flirt with and is in a leadership position.

It would've been a fantastic trolling, and hell everyone messes up during their first playthrough anyway, so in subsequent playthroughs you'd know to avoid shagging them during that section because you know what's coming... quite literally hur hur.

Fair enough point, while incredibly unlikely considering the reason they ditched the scene to begin with, they should save the idea for a desire demon nightmare sequence in DA4 instead.

There would need to be some flattery of the player as well. Cassandra telling how awesomely you succeeded at defeating Envy, asking in a seductive tone what your next step is.

I've flirted with Josephine early on.

At this point she's more oblivious than Aveline  :P

Not just less likely to report it, but less likely to actually be able to report it. The current criteria for someone to say they were raped is basically if they were penetrated. So if I guy is held down while a woman rapes him, he legally can't say he was raped because he wasn't penetrated.

In one respect this could have been hilarious if implemented.

I'm sure that a lot of players would have got to the point where Leliana (a.k.a. Envy) invites the Inquisitor to sleep with her, would have hit pause, and immediately jumped on the BSN to complain about their Warden's waifu and her wanton ways.

"Biower pls...y u make Leliana Jacob?"

It's just in the Inquisitor's head and amounts to a dream, so I'm not sure I'd use the word rape. Nothing is real, the Inquisitor just thinks it is. In any case though the Inquisitor is being violated, even in the shipped product. Envy is in the Inquisitor's head no matter what.

That would be rather awkward if you brought whoever Envy was disguised as along.

Which is why I love it.

From what I read the original scenario for Champions of the Just didn't seem that bad. However I don't feel I can make a concrete, 100% judgment unless I'd actually played or seen what the original was.

If the original had been kept though...

I don't see why it had to be Lelianna's form Envy takes, it could just as easily been Cassandra, Josephine, Cullen, Iron Bull or Solas, depending on who the Inquisitor might have flirted with/flirted with the most and they could've used Lelianna as default if the Inquisitor hadn't flirted with anyone?

*Sigh* All this content that got cut, that seems like it would have been better kept in...Does anyone else feel like someone flipped out and tore the content to pieces for some reason, but it was too close to release for the game to be fully fixed/patched/cleaned up so they just had to go with what they had and hope?
