Probably not. It´s now all about weird fashion this time. But if you don´t mind trench coats then you should be ok.

I'm really disappointed by the lack of proper mage robes.

I thought maybe I just wasn't thorough enough in my last 140+ hour playthrough. That said I did enjoy my tier 3 battle mage armor or whatever it was called that was extremely reminiscent of the champions mantle.

Thankfully, no. DA:I finally drives a heart into the idea of robes.

While I'm super into the fact that you can finally be a Mage and wear honest real to god pants it wouldn't be tertible of they gave the dress wearers a few options too.

Am I the only one that finds it amusing that for the longest time people have complained about how mage attire has been almost nothing but robes, and now that they've changed mage clothing to something more practical, someone complains about not having robes?

Nope Solas, Dorian, Vivienne and even that crazy blood mage that works for Corypheus have better robe/mage armor options.

In fact, I believe all of our companions with their respective class have nicer armor appearances than our beloved Inquisitor!

Even Hawke, Cullen, Morrigan and Leliana look cooler.

I think the point is that there is not a single robe available. Not all needed to be removed, everyone didn´t want that.

Oh, I understand what you're saying, and I agree that they shouldn't have taken all the robes out, but I still find it amusing.

It is frustrating that they have all kinds or armor, robes, and clothing in the game and this whole crafting system they implemented but you can't make ANYTHING but three versions of the same armor....

What's wrong with robes?

I can understand you wanting some non-robe options, given that you don't want to wear them, but why be enthusiastic about losing an option (an option some of us like)?

Not the same people complaining. I never had any complaints about robes, I'm all about the mage robes all the time :(

I would have been glad to have pants too, but not necessarily to the detriment of robes. My friend who never comes to this forum is very disappointed, with no robes in the game for her mages. She had no issues in DAO and DAII, satisfied. She was very annoyed when I told her that some people complained about robes, that's why no more robes.

Why couldn't we have just diversity in the game anyway ? Customization is always great when it offers a wide range of different armors and outfits.

Bioware has always to be extreme, I'm not sure why. Some people want " something else " than only robes, and they understand '  we will be only satisfied when robes will totally disappear from your games, totally replaced by other things. '

I apologize ; I didn't mean to attack anyone for wanting robes, I just couldn't help but chuckle at the situation; No offense was meant.

Not that I ever use the mounts, but robes would have been impractical.  Side-saddle would have looked too prissy.

What's the issue with orlesian battlemage robes? They look very robe-y.

When i saw that robe the cultist guy in Hinterlands was wearing, and Bertrand's, I was thinking, 'now is that so hard?' Usually, I can get everyone into some semblance of style but last run though I only used Dorian's top gear for the end game and he ran around in formal wear rather then clown colors. I just bought the Orleasian mage schematic for my lowbie mage and with fire def had to name it as "Veteran of the Bargain Bin'

Too bad people can't re-do meshes and textures, that would add dimension

Well, damn. That's at least one playthrough with a mage named "Dresden", then.

Some of the race-locked outfits have appearances matching what the other mages wear (Orlais battlemage or the Dalish robes, e.g.)

I wish we could have had more robes.

We need to steal all the trousers so people have to go pantsless.
