I really really miss the level of detailed spiciness they put into that game, which we're not really seeing anymore. Decent effort on companion chit chat, but way too emo, not enough funny and lightheaded. There was a reason people's favourite characters were Zevran and Oghren and Sten and Morrigan, they well solidly built. I don't get that sense from DA:I. I just get an overall somber feeling, like people are walking on eggshells all the time. So far the only light moment I've had was the book interaction between Cassandra and Varric, and that got ruined by Varric's bitter comment at the end of the scene.

I just wanted to say this, feel free to flame me now with the usual "ZOMG UR A BIATCH DIS IS DE BEST GAME EVAH!".

I agree with you actually. Inquisition lacked any variety when it comes the quests whether it would be main or side content.

Devs forgot it's a game... full doom and gloom without apparent reason isn't appealing. It was appealing in ME3 where full doom and gloom was appropriate cause it was the end of times, enhanced by all the settling of loose ends here and there, it created a very climatic scale that lead to.... an anticlimatic disappointment, but nonetheless, the full doom and gloom worked there, it really isn't working on DA:I.

Well said about walking around your companions like your on egg shells it always seems to delicate. Your right about the conversation between Cassandra and Varric was a good effort till that last comment

Yeah, I mean, ok you two, you trying to patch things up, well do it, and let it go. If you're gonna be mean about it, then it defeats its purpose, trying to make friends again. Everybody is so solemn and cross, and tbh, the blight was worse!!!

That bit was great. I miss it too. Bioware should have added way more stuff like that to DA2 and DA:I.

They have to realise that they are making a game, not a SJW manifest. Have some fun.

I think there will be more of this next time. With the engine in place and people comfortable with making/reusing resources/models, there will be more time for sculpting the story and world, character interactions and such a like... I just hope it's not too long.

I agree. I think next game will be much more fleshed out. And I'm hoping for some good story content with several DLC's. I'm an optimist.

I doubt it. They're already busy making ME4, on Frostbite 3 let's mention. The same engine.

I fail to see why that means the next DA game won't be more fulfilling?

Because if people seem satisfied with an unfulfilling game, do you really think the Board will say "hey, let's give it more detail!" Deal with enough Boards and you'll know the answer to that. It won't be.

I was tempted to list those but it sort of pales in comparison to what DAO had. I don't think anyone is saying Inquisition doesn't have comedy, just that it wasn't of the same caliber.
