I'm building Iron Bull to be a support DPS character. He'll always be with a real tank (Cass or Blackwall). But I'd like to build a little guard with him so he doesn't get pummeled and I'm trying to decided between War Cry and Challenge. War Cry is recommended a lot but I don't want to pull threat (and attention) off my main tank so I'm thinking maybe Challenge is better since it is directed against just one enemy?
2H Warrior (non-tank build) - Challenge vs War Cry?

I really like going deep to unbowed and keeping challenge and bull rush on the 2H bar disabling challenge in case I need to peel an enemy off a mage. you might not want to go that deep and if you don't I'd suggest challenge.

Unbowed's the skill you want for generating Guard as a two-hander. Doesn't drag agro, and keeps you alive. If you positively want an Agro skill, I would go with Challenge. Its upgrade provides some stamina recovery, which lets you return to doing what a two-hander does best, crushing things.

Basically chrging bull and unbowed for your guard generation. I avoid taunting on my 2 handed templar and leave that to cass. Besides if you roll with 2 warriors, 1 mage and rogue and both of them having threat reduction enemies naturally tend to focus on the warrior. Charging bull will ensure that.

Thanks folks. I definitely want Charging Bull. But I know I have to get either War Cry or Challenge to get it. Since I have to pick up one of those skills, I just want to know which is more useful in my case and sounds like Challenge is. Thanks!

Z....I don't go down to unbowed. A lot of the passives I took in Battlemaster for my Champion build rely on enemies being taunted or knocked down. Should I consider using Unbowed for Champion?

Not necessary. I didnt go for unbowed either on my templar as i find charging bull enough for me. A champion has more than enough guard generation.

I think it depends on your 2H warrior build and damage dealing preferences. Despite being a warrior, I still find I get the most enjoyment if I run around with a dedicated warrior in my group, to take agro.
So, I usually take "Challenge" to limit how much threat my Warrior takes. I have the other warrior with War Cry and other threat skills, so my warrior can focus on DPS.

same here, even with me being a 2 handed templar i take cass as a proper tank W&S setup.

Unbowed is better for AI if you don't want to babysit much. It generates a lot of guard, doesn't draw aggro, costs no stamina and staggers nearby enemies when used.

Out of experience from doing my first PT as a two-handed Reaver without guard on NM, guard abilities are just going to hinder your DPS and support capabilities ( not like Blackwall needs any more survivability anyway
,) it's about being smart and cautious of how you play. That being said, if you really want guard, I would go down the road of charging bull and Block and Slash, with a big maybe for unbowed. I say maybe because you could possibly ( depending on your build ) be sacrificing dps for defense that you don't need. In the choice between war cry, or challenge, go with challenge and it's upgrade for more dps potential or challenge for more guard and off-tankiness. Hope this helps!
EDIT: Also, have "x guard on hit" gear. I know that there is a masterlock door in redcliffe village that contains a chest which has fade-touched obsidian that gives 3 guard every hit.

I run a 2H champion as my main, and I almost always run war cry (except for dragon fights) AoE taunt applies cutting words which helps with whirl wind, which is my primary attack. I'm normally running solo, but if I do run with a group, its an all ranged group with my main as the sole tank, so I still would run war cry.
If you have a dedicated tank, and want to run your 2H warrior as a DPS, then i would suggest challenge. You'll still be able to taunt a single for off a ranged party member and the stamina regen will feed dps
