Turns out that if Vivienne becomes Divine, there is the possibility that the Templars will either accept her on the condition that Vivienne isn't forced into a circle or they refuse to follow a mage and form their own order to hunt down mages. Scumbag templars are scummy:

Accept without putting a leash on Vivienne:

Templars remain scumbags and leave:

And people wonder why I'm pro-mage. This pretty much shows us that despite people like Barris existing, the majority of the Templars are still the fanatical mage-haters I thought them to be. More reason why I save the mages and let them become red templars and finally be purged from this universe.

All things aside...it is a pretty cool sounding name for a order of knights.

Considering how the Templars acted without any supervision, I'd say that they will probably act like the Templars in the Hinterlands.

Oh, I wasn't saying you were wrong, I just said the name was cool.

Um. Okay. I also like how you ignored how mages acted without supervision, but then we wouldn't get to be hypocritical.

Here's another Leliana divine ending. Leliana's Bright Hand mages!

You both have made good points. Now lets try and keep this civil.

Why are you showing this to me, as if I care in the slightest? This doesn't really change my point.

I believe they are based on whether you allied with or conscripted your chosen faction, and possibly your approval rating with your respective Divine.

This thread presents facts wrong, its logic makes no sense and is hypocritical.

1-Wrong facts.

The "her leach is not reattached" happens if you allied with the Templars and Cassandra is the Divine.

The leach it is referring to is the one the Divine holds over the Templars.

2-Nosensical logic.

You dislike the Templars because they don't want a mage for a Divine and also because you, wrongfully, believed they didn't want Vivienne to return to the Circles.

Meaning, you hate the Templars if they're pro-mage and you hate the Templars if they're anti-mage.

Seems to me you're just looking for reasons to hate the Templars.

3-Hipocrisy.

The OP has a problem with the Templars refusing to obey a mage Divine (like half of Thedas) and seeking Independence but, on the other hand, he just loves the independent mages ending.

Thread of the year in January?

I thought every Divine had two possible ending but from this video there seems to be a third.

Imagine if the Templars only served a mage Inquisitor if they agreed to go a Circle or if the Templars abandoned the Inquisition and formed their own independent Order if the Inquisitor was a mage.

The question remains. What exactly is wrong with the Templar's actions?

Mages are too dangerous to be given total freedom so i wouldn't blame the Templars tbh

What's stopping them from acting like the Hinterlands Templars? Nothing unless you want the Inquisition to fight the Templars.

So we've established that the Templar endings can end up as good or bad as the mages'?

Though, it seems the best ending for the Templars is remaining under the command of the Inquisition. Suits me fine.

What's stopping the College of Enchanters from doing the same?

Double standard.

...How exactly is that any different from Failona's little hissey fit if Cassandra becomes Divine?

If Leliana becomes Divine, the mages are willing to stay with the Inquisition if conscripted and form the Bright Hand, a society which shows Thedas the best of mages.

It's ok, guys.

Mages not wanting to be commanded by Templars and seeking independence is perfectly acceptable and understandable but Templars not wanting to be commanded by mages and seeking independence is evil and scumbagery.

This is not hypocrisy, I assure you.

This is why they should have just done it where mages go back to the Circles.

All of this innane inner political squabbling aids nothing.
