What kits are good to combat an extreme amount of Goons?

QME. Every incinerate> grenade> incinerate combo results in multiple dead goons. Adding a stagger stick like Adas, Falcon, Graal, GPS or Venom (yuck) will make it even more easy.

Drellgod as well, if you can quickly replenish grenades.

 

Presumably someone who can have a mod that spawns 30 dragoons can include the grenade fountain mod as well.

If you don't update the maximum impact targets almost all kits will suck. And you need to make power casters have faster recharge or it's just a game for weapon based kits.

Not arc grenades  :devil:

Use the unloved armor damage spec at rank 6 and there will be deadgoons everywhere

inferno nades  ... (no target cap)

 

then throw in a fast firing good priming weapon with inci rounds and it should become easy mode

3 button presses, wait 5 seconds for them to respawn, 3 button presses, wait five seconds for them to respawn etc.

 

If you're a really advanced player, you can throw in an Acolyte shot or something in between. If you want to. It's really not necessary.

 

This is what I was going to say too.  Any Flamer kit melts Dragoons really quickly.  Adding in Clusters would make it extra quick and deadly.

 

Anything with Inferno Grenades works really well on Dragoons too, as long as you can hit them at a distance so they don't whip you to death before they die.

Volus Engineer with maxed slowing powers would be interesting for just infantry mobs. I would try that on husk mode. IIRC PM doesn't have a target cap, Recon mine is 5 upon explosion but IDK if that applies to the debuff field having a cap? If you do use it let us know how that works.  :)

Maybe not the fastest killers but I bet if you put a disruptor ammo venom on a melee build krolord or kroguard they'd be pretty durable vs a ton of goons.

Vanilla asari adept can stop all unarmord mooks in their tracks, and her warp/throw combo can kill bombers/dragoons in one detonation. Pyros can kill her pretty quick if they sneak up on her, but what else is new?

Inferno nades with Venom (w/ incindianry ammo) plus Carnage/Ballistic Blades, those goons die like Swarmers.

You want a fast kit, because slow kits will just get mobbed and destroyed. That said, if it's pure goons and no sync-kill enemies, then a Krolord will just dominate, since sync kills are basically their only weakness. Keep in rage and heavy meleeing and you'll kill everything and be completely invincible.

 

Alternatively, a soldier Collector with a PPR could do a good job, too, with the AP mod+warp ammo. Launch a Sphere through them, hit the front one with DC and get to firing, you'll kill a dozen per charge or more.

 

A FQE would probably do some serious damage too. Rockets from your turret+incinerates=constant staggers, and with that many targets your turret will reliably be shooting the same direction you are, making it much more effective. Find a good vantage point and just get to firing. Of course, if you're fighting swarms of mooks, grenades are going to be your best choice, but that just seems too easy.

EDIT: Thought was modded game.  OP means Dragoons.  In which case Justicar is still one of the best with Warp Sphere + Reave and Krogan Soldier is pretty good

 

Kobe you must be talking about those mods. 

 

Justicar aoe pull into reave spam.

 

Interestingly the Krogan Soldier is not as good for those hordes once the number of enemies exceeds a certain threshold, unless perhaps given Incendiary ammo with fast Carnage spam.  Maybe Striker Disruptor turreting into Carnage Tech Burst if ammo is replenished

Anyway back to those mods, if you haven't seen them, there are those where a whole area is covered in enemies like a crowd, and they keep spawning.

 

Thankfully, the targeting AI is not regular, otherwise taking fire from 100 enemies will be too dangerous, especially on PC

 

Being that Justicar Pull into Reave rapes enemies on Platinum, simply AoE pull against, for example, a husk horde mode (though they will not always be husks).  Since Justicar should be on fast cooldowns, the Justicar will constantly annihilate groups of enemies every few seconds

 

Of course, you will need the Acolyte on Platinum if the mod uses shielded/barriered enemies

 

Also waay better than the Claymore.  Lol
