Well, I can now confirm that only ONE person in a family can use any of the codes... My husband can't even access the basic Cerberus Network using the card that came in our CE... every time he starts playing, it just prompts him to spend $15 to buy access.

This is completely unacceptable considering many of your customers are families, who will now have to pick and choose who gets to use the bonuses.

For the first Mass Effect, we bought all the DLC, and our whole family had access to it on our xbox. What are parents supposed to do? Tell one of their children they can have DLC, while the rest can't?

Thanks for showing us how much you care, EA :(

In Dragon Age I used the codes under my EA account on the Xbox 360 and my brother was able to use the DLC. It did say that he had to buy the DLC, but since It was already on the console it worked.

What happens when someone else gets into game and bypasses the purchase prompts in ME2?

I will be in the same boat for ME2 as well. I was able to avoid this problem with DA:O since my wife and I played on different platforms (her on the 360 and myself on PC). Since I owned ME on the 360 I did not purchase it for PC this time.

She has her gamertag (profile) linked to her EA Account and I have mine linked to my account. So only one of us will be able to use the DLC content. The option of having her gamertag moved over to my EA Account through a call to CS would allow us to remedy this situation; however I also assume that this would prevent her from being able to use the DA:O site features (character data etc.) or conversely it gets added to mine. I also don't want to run the risk of having problems with her EA Account through this since she has lord knows how much Sims3 stuff associated with it.

Some info on a possible solution, that doesn't require purchasing it multiple times, to these problems would be appreciated.

Thanks.

So iIve confirmed that any DLC on a console will be useable by everyone on that console. I'll explain.

1.Make sure your gamertag is connected to your EA account.

2.Boot up ME2 and enter the cerberus code

3.EVERY DLC you get for ME2 needs to be purchased and downloaded by this gamertag. If you have promo codes the same applies.

4.Select all the free DLC and download, they will enter the que but won't download until you exit the game (at least for me.)

5.Once everything is downloaded this gamertag will see all the DLC and cerberus info.

6.Log out and log on a different gamertag then enter the game

7.The game will ask for the cerberus code, cancel and continue. (this scared me,but it works out)

8.On the main menu the cerberus network will NOT be available and you will NOT see DLC in the Downloads section, this is OK, don't worry.

9. Play the game, when you get to a part where you can see your armour you WILL see the promo armour and be able to use it. Same goes for DLC.

In short, pick one gamertag to get all your DLC and all users of that consle will be able to use it. just note that the other users will always be prompted to buy DLC so ignore that.

Hope that helps.
