I actually like his accent and how he talks. One of the few that has a plum up his butt. 
The Romance options in this one are probably some of the worst...especially for the female Inquisitor. Someone that's at least twenty years or more older, a mananimal, Cullen who seems to have gotten gayer, and a scatterbrained blonde. I went the Solas route with my elf for story, but my human is staying a nun.

I think it's the new armor. Cullen prancing around Haven with a fur boa on just had me laughing. They should have stuck with something closer to the full plate Templar armor.

It's interesting because it straight up -is- templar armor, but his templar skirt is hiked up and folded upwards and the ends are held up with the fur thing, what you can see of his shoulders are templar armor shoulders

I think he doesn't wear Templar's armour because he is done with that life. I'd love it if he wore the armour he has on the card, instead of the fur and the modern pants getup.

Really? I'm not sure it is, I always thought it was a cloth vest over a plate, the fabric doesn't have the Templar's patten on it in, it's just a golden brim with a second wavy line, the metal plate has no sword decoration and the pauldrons are different shape.
The same sex stuff has gotten fairly awful now in Bioware games. It's like the character's have to wave it in your face now for some reason...and then you get the really inappropriate bombshell moments like Kaidan in ME3.

Source? I heard they recorded lines for both Ashley and Kaidan romances but they recorded every line that a Shepard could say. For example, Mark Meer has recorded lines when Harkin calls a Femshep stuff like princess.

At least you have options, as straight male you have Cass and Josephine, that's it. Cass looks interesting, but Josie was a bore, and not because of the no sex angle.
Josephine is probably my favorite romance in Bioware game history.
