Hi everyone,

 

my missus and I are both playing Dragon Age Inquisition and loving it.

we're running solo through the campaign at the moment.

But I think i've come across a bug.

In my girlfriend's game, after arriving at Skyhold the main hall (where the throne is) was in ruins but after she did some quests it's now all cleaned up & there are courtiers inside.

But for me, it's still in ruins and rubble.

i've run through a number of quests, improved the garden, and advanced the main story a bit but the main hall still looks like a bomb went off.

i can't seem to find any way to improve it.

 

I asked my girlfriend which quest she did to improve the main hall and she said 'i don't know I just came back from something and it was all good'

 

Is there a quest I need to do in order to get the main hall sorted out?

You have to progress the main mission story line.

^ and maybe try changing the interior in the undercroft...

It should clean up the first time you leave Skyhold then, return. Just travel to anywhere then back and it will sort out.

ok thanks for the 3 very different responses:

 

1) Yes I have progressed the main storyline and it's still the same.  I headed to Crestwood & did that part of the story after I got to Skyhold and it's still in ruins.

2) Yes I have changed the banners in the undercroft, i don't have anything else unlocked so can't change anything else

3) Yes I have left Skyhold and returned multiple times but it's still the same.

In that case, trey repairing the game. It should not be in ruin, should be cleaned up.

Have you completed Here Lies the Abyss/Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts? I thought Skyhold was fully cleaned up after finishing at least one of the main quests. Crestwood is only the beginning of one of them.

On one of my PTs, the rubble remained until after speaking with Solas and doing his dream journey.

This is the correct answer to your question.  Just get to Skyhold pop out to a random camp in the Hinterlands (or wherever) then pop back and the maid will have tidied up the place for you.  As you've stated that this did NOT work, then a repair is definitely the way to go as DA mentioned in a follow-up post.  You don't have to advance any story lines or do any companion quests.

that's a funny glytch, the way skyhold looks day 1 is appalling, sorry
