Being my first time stepping into a Dragon Age game or even a Bioware title I'm pleased to say amazing work! Haven't had but minor bugs that didn't affect my session an most the scenery is breathtaking. Combat is simple but enjoyable and I don't feel like I'm button mashing even though it has somewhat limited choices. Quests are not huge to the point that I struggle to finish an even though a few are fetch missions they don't feel entirely boring like some games (ESO). Something about this game strikes me just the right way an I would willingly buy a sequel or DLC based off what I've seen so far. (PS4 Owner)

The fact that it's your first Dragon Age and Bioware games is why you enjoyed it. Those of us who've experienced the quality of games they put out in the past are mostly left with bitter disappointment.
Glad you enjoyed the game.

Eh...I played DAO back in 2009 (and quite a few times since then) and I'm quite happy with DAI. Not 100% happy, but then neither was I 100% happy with DAO. In fact, DAO needed about 15 seconds to shave off the first points from the 100% score.

^ this. Also, good thing you enjoyed it, but please take a minute to browse the forums to see how many problems the game has for other people, and how disgracefully we're being treated by Bioware fot two months now. If you care. If you don't, then fare thee well.

Honestly, it's not even true. I've played DAO and loved it and I'm just as happy with this game as the OP is.

You do not speak for all of us, thankfully ![]()
OP - I too have been thouroughly enjoying the game, and I put hundreds of hours in to Origins and DA2 to compare. Every game has it's minor annoyances for me, as every single game I have ever played. I can rise above it.
"You can please some people sometimes, but you can't please all the people all the time."
I was a week or 2 behind everyone else starting DA:I while I waited for delivery of a new PC, and I read the forums. I was expecting an unfinished, unplayable bug fest. Please dont read the forums as another poster has suggested, to see how you should be feeling about the game, it's all relative!
Happy gaming ![]()

OP ignore the people complaining about the previous games were better. That's just their opinion. There are plenty of us who think this is the best game Bioware has ever made after playing every single one of them. I've been playing since their first games, and think this is the best one yet!
The negative people just tend to be louder than the happy ones!

I also enjoyed the game. Yet, was very disapointed, because it is evident that this game could have shone that much more if given the proper attention.
If you cannot see those flaws you are less discerning, or less spoiled, or easier to please. I don't think that's a bad thing. Criticism and negativity can really stand in the way of enjoyment. In my case I am probably spoiled by what I expect from an AAA game from a Bioware studio. My expectations were too high.
But that's okay, they have been adjusted and I will probably pick up the next ME and DA from a sale. Or just pirate it, which shows the same amount of respect to a publisher as that which EA has shown their customer base.

I see the flaws, as i'm sure most do. The difference is in how much you care about those flaws. I don't.

I notice flaws but if it doesn't affect me playing the game than I look past them especially a huge complex game like DAI. Example the floating people in the camps or the way certain NPC's make the same motion. How about the bard who hardly move her fingers an lips but the music is still amazing. Just let your imagination take the wheel when playing a game like this. Otherwise you are ruining your experience.

That's very good advice. Usually, the only flaws I mention when I talk about the game(s) are those which significantly affect my experience. Such as the Skyhold outfit, or that it's a PITA to get around on some maps. The overall experience is still great, though, even while I do wish - to give DAO its due - that DAI's quests had more varied ways to resolve them, not just different outcomes.

The skyhold outfit is a matter of taste. I am 'meh' about it - it's simple, comfortable, within the style of the age, but lacks a certain penache. It's not a flaw, but a style choice, which depends entirely on your own taste.
The maps are not as easy as run in a straight line from A to B. Nor should they be. Exploration in this game is amazing (once you realise shards can be ignored). Again, not a flaw but a matter of personal opinion and play style. If you want to rush through every area then this probably isnt the game for you.

Yeap. More or less the case. Especially the last couple of sentences, all too true.

I'm speaking specifically of the Exalted Plains with its overabundance of palisades you should be able to climb but can't, which forces you to make your way along 100% predetermined long straight paths just like in DA2's Wounded Coast. And also of the Oasis where the paths were so convoluted that the illusion of naturalness was broken. All other maps were great.
As for the Skyhold outfit, it's a leftover placeholder designed to be neutral (=bland) in color and very close-fitting (which is in that extremity against the style of most outfits in the world) as to not interfere with any animations during testing, and to have the Inquisitor clothed if no outfit is equipped. It's easily recognizable as such.

Not really. The combat being dumbed down is pretty much a fact when you see how limited it is compared to the other games in the series. Mathematics doesn't lie.

You know, I played DAO and DA2 and the entire Mass Effect series, and somehow I have managed to love this game, but I am prooobably a heretic because I liked DA2 better than Origins. (Origins combat was, imo, terrible, and there were several points where the game just. Dragged. Sometimes I can't even enjoy Hespith's creep because I'm so busy being relieved THE GODDAMN DEEP ROADS ARE ALMOST OVER.)
Inquisition is, for me, a supremely enjoyable game - even though I have a lot of very nasty bugginess issues! Hell, sometimes the game won't even start, and I get really distressed about that because I really, really, really want to play more. I've done one whole playthrough, am 90% through a second, and am looking at probably five or six more in the near future.
But hey, I'm just a mindless fangirl!

That says it all.
Sure. You also notice how much has been improved.
Yeah, nothing. Unless you think action in a non action RPG and graphics are improvements. Then yeah, huuuuuuuuge improvement. WOOOOW. So much better. WOOOOOW. Even then, you finish the game exploring it all once, all the wow is gone and you are left with pure unaltered crap for the next playthroughs. amazing *o*
