You should seriously get Dragon Age Origins... Play that for a while and then come back to play this game. Compare the two and see how long your 100% happy customer status drops.
um gunna say to about 60%

Well, to be fair, trying to have a smart conversation with someone who arbitrarily decides whether your right or wrong based on how much you agree with him doesn't work well eitherElitism is what destroys smart conversations everywhere.

I love threads like this. It's like reading a case study on logical fallacies.
Well, being a geek means being passionate. There's no rights, no wrongs, only different point of views. Whenever someone too passionate won't accept an idea, this causes a friction between two different parties. I just wish we could just all agree to disagree and still learn to respect one another. xD

Do you want to build a strawman? :DD
Doesnt have to be a strawman D:

I get why everyone is frustrated that there has been no communication, but if they are still working on locking down Patch 3, then they've had nothing to update us with and I'm not sure people would've been satisfied with a ton of 'we're working on it' posts.
It can be hard to know when to communicate and when to stay quiet until you have something to communicate

that link feels like a troll
You are very lucky -I hope it holds. This game is full of landmines that can corrupt your game, just had a dialog module lock up-arggh!

Damn it, if they are still just locking down what's gonna be in the patch that means the patch is likely to come out sometimes after mid-February....
I like both DA:I and Origins, and prefer DA:I overall. But I think it's stupid to say (not you, I know you're not saying this) that because someone likes Origin then they have to hate Inquisition. I don't see Origins as being the golden RPG, because it is in fact possible to have preferences.
That isn't to say that Inquisition couldn't have done some things better, but it's stupid, IMO, to dismiss it because it's not Origins 2.0
My two cents on the matter.
If you read the Threads, here and in the PC Community / Patch 2 and in the EA Technical Support Q&A forums, you will understand a few things:
On Hardware Gear
1. Next Gen console users have minimum hardware issues
2. PC gamers with AMD hardware have minimum hardware problems
3. PC gamers with Nvidia GPUs have hardware/driver problems causing crashes and game freeze incidents.
4. Old Gen console users have a terrible time because of outdated CPU+Graphics+lack of disk space+lack sufficient memory.
On Gameplay.
1. Next Gen console players have an easier time with DAI. It's a fine game, enjoyable minus minor bug irritants.
2. Old Gen players not so much... read the PS3/360 thread in this Feedback & Suggestions Forum.
3. PC players feel betrayed. Marketing videos strongly suggested to PC players that much of the KB+M controls, inventory, tactics, autoattack and character skill sets (to name a few) would be retained from DAO and DA2. Alas, all of it was gutted. The UI and game controls are not developed for the KB+Mouse player.... merely a quick and simple console port.
The vitriol is all about what was promised and taken away. About expectations, not even closely delivered.
Many of the posters here that like the game don't mention their game rigs. It is probably helpful to do so as it tells us their game platform. Mine is:
AMD fx-6300, Radeon 7770 GPU, 8GB ram, KB+M controls, CRT monitor and lots of disk space. I experienced no crashes and game freezes. I do experience long load times and the "minor irritant" bugs.
The game scenery is amazing, most characters are strong, the VO is excellent but what I hate about DAI is the PC UI and the lack of proper PC KB+M combat controls as found in DAO and DA2.
If you read the Threads, here and in the PC Community / Patch 2 and in the EA Technical Support Q&A forums, you will understand a few things:
snipped rest
Specs:
MSI Z87-G45 MOBO
i5 4670k @ 3.4
GTX 970
8 GB Ram
1 TB HD
120 GB SSD for booting
Able to play at 60 FPS all on Ultra, save a few stuttering issues and the longer loading times. Yet, I can still enjoy the game because I have preferences and because from what I saw, I was not expecting an Origins 2.0, and frankly I'm glad we didn't get one. I can't stand Origins combat.

Yet many PC players are also enjoying the game, you can't speak for everyone.
Like I said in the other post, I do think many things could have been done better, mainly story wise. I wish the main campaign was longer, I wish each area had a longer side story, I wish the final battle had been different. There's nothing wrong with criticizing the game, but insulting everything and the devs won't get us anywhere.
Well I understand thwt some people might like the game.
However:
To say you LOVED DA:Origins and are happy with this game... That is not logical because if you really LOVED Origins you would be upset losing so many great things that made up that game; customization, atmosphere, story, characters, combat, lore, the list goes on.
I love Origins's story enough to play it several times and struggle through, but despise the gameplay. So in fact I think Inquisition does customization, atmosphere, story, characters, combat, lore, and lots of other stuff better.
I guessed as much before even reading this thread......
- first time Dragon Age gamer
- PS4
go figure.....
I am glad you enjoyed DA:I but if you had played DAO, then to DA2 and now to DA:I, you would be greatly disappointed the direction Bioware took and how the quality of the series has gone downhill.....

I played DAO & DA2 and I can appreciate the differences in all three games and I'm not "greatly disappointed" with the direction Bioware took with DA:I. I have some complaints but they're not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the game.
I loved the eye candy and graphics of DA:I, same with DA2 but the plots, storylines and quality of DAO was not present with DA2 and DAI.
People are still talking about DAO.....why? because it was a great game with DLC and remembered. DA2 and DAI will be forgotten in a few years time.
I remember when I first got DA2, I couldn't look around, very restrictive view and I was thinking, there must be a setting to change this? Nope.......your save game from DAO really meant nothing.......very hack and slash and dumbed down game.........I remember DA2 because I still have it on my PC. Disappointed how Bioware did a 180 on the PC gamers for console gamers.......not cool.
You cant have "smart" conversations with individuals in denial (Fanboys) or with people that only know like 20% of a topic (TC and his lack of experience in the matter).
You can't have smart conversation with people who use terms like 'Fanboys' either. They are far too B&W.

Totally agree to agree with this
About 90% of this thread is people basically saying 'But I had problems and I didnt enjoy it; therefore how dare you say you liked it, how dare you!'

Both points 3 apply to me and I have not experienced either. Please do not assume to speak for all PC user or all Nvidia users.
As requested, as someone who likes the game, here is my rig. Not especially high end (especially GFX)
i-5 4440 3.10ghz
Nvidia GeForce GT 740
8GB RAM
1TB Disk space
LG HD Monitor
Wireless KB+M
Generic Mousemat
I dont have any bugs, crashes, freezes, and can play in high graphics no problem. Sorry if that challenges your world view ![]()
Now I am not suggesting that those who do not enjoy the game should be - any more than they can suggest those of us who do enjoy the game shouldn't be. I just can't stand to see someone who posts positive feedback being shot down in flames. I really think it is jealousy, and that kind of childish behaviour belongs on the playground, not here.

Lord I post one little thread about how I'm enjoying the game and it blows into a **** storm of whiners. Look I wouldn't enjoy the game either if all I done was troll threads hoping someone agrees with my opinion. I understand there are a large portion of you who are disappointed but why are you guys pointing at me with all this type of ****.....
- PS4 Gamer
- First Timer in Dragon Age
- Doesn't know a good game from a pretty picture
- blah blah blah
So what I like the game its time to move on.
Misery loves company and cannot bare a smiling face *shrugs*

Ahh....
It's a game, not a deceased family member...

But I feel like it is a deceased family member. And replaying DA: I feels like sexual abuse to the corpse.

LOL!
Actually bugs exits on all five platforms, from simple:
1. all three companions jumping on a merchant's table
2. companions that won't follow you into one of the caves in the Storm Coast,
3. Ranged characters that don't stay in range and attack like a melee warrior
4. companions that temporarily disappear from view
5. Well, you get the drift.
As to nVidia driver/GPU issues, the EA Q&A tech support forum has many posts regarding nVidia GPU/driver issues plus a lot more.
And to your'e "I don't speak for everyone".. that's true. My bad. Perhaps I should have added the word "many" to my original post..
