You guys feel like some of the choices in The Keep really didn't impact the game just yet? I'm assuming the keep will be a go to for the next few games because a few decisions I didn't see any impact. Like the dwarf noble bastard son. If I choose to let the wolves kill the Dalish will the game reflect that.

I really don't think I saw any of past decisions even enter into DAI apart from who was on the Ferelden throne (to determine what warden you had show up and who would show up at Redcliffe) and a few things about Hawke though asking Varric about Hawkes friends was pretty much the same regardless of what decisions you made. Oh an a note from the HOF which didn't really say much about anything. A bit of a disappointment really.

My inquisitor is Dalish like my HOF is and the letter was like "it must be hard being in charge of a Chantry orgqnization. Three trees etc.

If I start another character can upload different decisions or does the new import overwrite the present one?

You can make new decisions just reload another keep

It's not going to make a massive difference because it would be unfeasible to have main plots that branch in different directions so people's games get exponentially different as the number of games increase. That would be way too difficult to write. Over time, more and more small factors will come into play to differentiate your game from that of others.

I think we can assume that the stand-in method will continue so that  the basic structure will work for all players. It's a method that lends itself to replayability. While King Alistair is my 'canon', I'm replaying with warden Alistair just as often for the difference in content.

They largely do not matter and are mostly busy work.
