...begging a not-so-hypothetical answer.

~ Here's fact 1:

I pre-ordered the game for the xbox360. I paid full well and legitimately. I ended up with a game that is practically unplayable. Sure, the disc works. But so does my '80s pickup vinyl disc with so many scratches that it jumps from first to third track and back to second. A good analogy, cause under the presumption that both discs run when put on the player, it's playable. But other than that, it's not. Bugs, glitches, freezes, audio problems, weird animations, and let's not go to the graphical issues... as I said for all intents and purposes, practically unplayable.

 -------------

Big Snip

Items that I'm aware of from Bio interviews:

1. Game design was for console, from the start

2. Early on, Bio realized that their game would not work equally with Old and New gen consoles.

3. Game changes were made to accomodate the weak Old gen consoles. At the same time, Bio ensured as

much as it could that the game play would be the same on all consoles.

4. In graphics quality, Bio acknowledged that the Old gen would not be at the same level as the New gen, for obvious reasons.

A recent Bioware communication note

Patch 3 is coming but is yet to be locked. A list of fixes is available. Unfortunately the list includes minor fixes for MP and one major (a key drop issue) and minor irritant fixes for the PC platform. A WALK toggle for the PC will be included.

There was no mention of fixes for game crashes or game freezes or other major work to be done. However,  in the communique,  there was a mention of a much bigger future Patch 4.

Hope this helps a little

Thank you for your reply. Other people and I have addressed these issues already, and the partial invalidity of your claims has also been explained thoroughly in the old gens thread and elsewhere, so I won't do it again here for the sake of redundancy. Please refer to that thread for further elaboration.

Actually by law you are allowed to make one backup and one Archive of every game you own, but to play them you'll need cracks and such because bioware breaks the law by adding DRM to the original.

Apparently breaking DRM is illegal?

Yes, these are so, however, there are very different laws from country to country, and we don't all live in Australia or the UK. If there was one international copyright infringement law across the board things would be infinitely simpler.
