This is a thread for giving a description of a game and people helping you out if they know the name of the game in question, so I will start:

When I was around 4 years old (1992) there was a PC DOS game I played where you flew a fighter plane (the view was from outside the cockpit, not the inside, so you could see everything) and you had to fight your way through turrets and other fighter planes, I am guessing the game was made somewhere between 1988 and 1992, that is more or less everything I remember about it.

EDIT: Found the game, it is called Flying Shark.

There was a game on SNES that I have wanted to re-play so much but no one in the world seems to know the name of the game.

It was set in a fantasy world and you could pick from four characters. I really liked it because the Mage was a woman and at that time there wasn't many games like that. You have to level up by killing monsters/creatures but you could take as long as you like on each level.

I vaguely remember being in the desert fighting giant scorpions.

Gawd I would love to know the name of this game!

Corncob 3D? (1992) or Desert Raid (1989 side scroller)?

This sounds a bit like 7th Saga, although there were 7 characters to choose from. But the mage was a female. (The only female). Does this ring any bells?

I believe I have found the game I was looking for: http://en.wikipedia....ki/Flying_Shark

I will now just have to find some place to download it from and make sure it is the same game.

this  is a sci fi game for the NES during the late 80s early 90s. Your Character has armor and a huge gun and gravity boots. So your character can walk on the ceiling to get around. what I do remember of it. it was fun.

Platformer with a guy that throws out his hands, feet, and limbs as weapons. Main characters kind of looks like Dr. Zoidberg...

This is Plok, a game I always saw advertisements for back in the day but never saw an actual copy of.

SNES RPG where you had a party of robots you leveled up through various upgrades and pieces, making it a bit of a crafting game where you had to figure out how different items boosted your robots...?
