Okay in previous games I have been able to find 3 slaves sitting on the ground near a camp. I talk to them and then after the 3rd slave it opens up  awartable mission.

My problem is I have found 2 of the 3 and I have been scouring the Hissing Wastes for the this last slave. Does anyone know if there are permanent locations.

I don't know, but I found way more than three, so I'm sure you'll find them if you scout more.

Well I not sure if completing the main mission in the Hissing Wastes affects finding them because I spent a good 2 hours last night coming over every area that I could set my foot on.

I will try search again in a bit.

I came across two, but I can't remember where. I had no idea this lead to a mission.

It was weird for me! I talked to the same slave twice and it counted as 2 slaves, then I talked to a second one and it counted as 3 and the quest completed.

I snuck up to one and released him, talked to him, and then fought the Venatori who were holding him. Never saw another slave again after that, and no, there weren't any others after that. I think it's bugged.

The slaves are random encounters. They can occur at any random encounter spawn point, and they should keep appearing up until you complete the war table operation (which opens up after rescuing a slave 3 times).

If you're desperate, you can simply save after talking to a slave and reload (they should still be there) and talk to them again. Repeat as necessary to unlock the operation (you can cheese the wandering Chantry sister the same way).

Hi,

I don´t know if you worked this one out yet, but I think I have.

I came across these slaves on my first run through and found three of them quite easily, then I started to compleet the main missions and after that I the only slaves I found were sacrificed. The completionist in me said that will not do!!!!

I found 9 slaves in total. I think, I may have spoken to one twice, so there may be 10! After I found the 9th I still came across these small venatori camps, but they no longer had slaves with them. You can find the slaves in small venatori camps near fixed venatori camps, red templar camps and your own camp sites, but don´t set them up just yet!

Am now playing my third game and these are the does and dont´s:

Dont: Complete the Venatori mission!

Set up any camp. This means you only have the base camp (yes this sucks)

After you found the third slave and you can start the Hire the freed slaves mission on the war table, don´t               start it until you have all of them.

If you accidentily do one of my don´ts all you´ll find are sacrificed slaves! (venatori bastards!)

Do:   Complete any other mission

Scout the entire map, they are slippery bastards, they do respawn at random!

Hope this will help you out!

Enjoy!

Gwen

Never found setting up camps was a problem - if you don't change it, Holding the Wastes is the default active quest when you go in with nothing active so, if you set about doing that, you will find all of the venatori camps with slaves. There are ten I believe but, you only need three to unlock the wartable mission to hire former slaves as paid workers.

Not hard to find, two on way to find second camp and one near canyon camp always for me. More en route to other camps but, don't need them by then.
