I've reached the point where I have the 3 specialization trainers for my warrior and I have taken the "training" quest for all 3.  It got me to wondering if I could, for example, do the Champion training quest, try out Champion and if I do not like it, complete the Reaver training quest and try Reaver.

Is this possible?  If it is possible would the Champion tree stay or is it replaced by the Reaver tree?

It is not possible.

The game will even tell you when you finally pick a specialization that the decision is irreversible.

If you want to test drive a spec use your companion that has it. I greatly recommend doing that.

Of all the classes, I honestly think that the warrior has the most balanced ones. Oh don´t get me wrong, each of them turns your warrior into a unstoppable force/immovable wall, but each of them are equally viable. Rogue and mage only has two each. Not that it has anything to do with the topic at hand, just an observation :P

You could always do all three requisition quests, then make a save that you can roll back to after testing each specialization for a bit, if you don't mind losing a little bit of time.

Terrible design decision should never be defended. Seriously a fetch quest to unlock romance, a fetch quest to unlock your spec. God this game was a disappointment.
