I like it, honestly. It's a vibrant and colorful culture, what else could one expect from the fashion? While I certainly would never like to participate in such a culture, I can surely appreciate and admire it.

Though my opinions on orlesian politics aligns with exactly what Cassandra says during Halamshiral. As for the culture, it's lovely.

I wish we could've wore a mask during Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.

Btw, wanting to kill someone just because of the the way they're dressed is pretty messed up.

Still better than the time I shot Samara's daughter right after Samara committed suicide just so she could save her daughter...

It's terrible. It looks like the stupidest Halloween costume ever.

It's touch and go. As much as her viewpoints bother me, Vivianne knows how to style, and I actually like the less ornate face masks.

The guys on the other hand..

I take it people did listen to Leliana?

SHOES AND MAD HAIR WITH BIRD POO.

Hence now the defence mechanisms, masks and frills and big hats.

If one of those ladies fell into the ocean they could float, or upturn and go in like a dart, actually maybe not they would bob upside down.

I don't know why but every time I saw an Orlesian noble, I felt this rage building up inside me for some reason. I killed that one jerk on Vivienne's recruitment quest. Not because he threatened me but because of his friggin hat/mask thing. I mean who dresses like that? The dude looked like a perverted clown.

"Perverted clowns" is the purest way to describe Orlesians.

I'm disappointed by their fashion. I've hated all of the clothing in DA:O and DA2. I was really looking forward to seeing something that was finally classy and beautiful from the Orlesians, because thats how their reputation had been built up, especially with the way Origins Leliana gushed over their shoes.

Not that the outcome was completely disastrous...for instance, Vivienne's outfit, Morrigan and Celene's gowns are all a decent step up from those Ferelden rags. But everything else was pretty close to being an eyesore.

Hats and masks were cool.  Corsets are always cool.  Giant hoop skirts and neck ruffles that cover half your face?  Not cool.

Hated the fashion. Doesn't matter though because in my head cannon after the big bad is dealt with my quizzy had Viv throw a big ball for all the Orlesian nobility and at midnight my soldiers came in, locked the door and slaughtered every noble. Then I appointed Viv as my envoy to the Legion of the Dead.

I think the way some of the men stand up is funny. Like they have a morning star up their butts and they're trying so desperately to hold it in.

I found it immersion breaking because it felt too modern. DAO felt sort of 1400's and DAI felt 1600's. I started expecting muskets. (Yes, I know the Qunari have black powder, but I don't really want to see cannons and firearms in my Dragon Age.)

Some of the fashion is outrageous, but that's kind of the point with it. The Orlesians are like France at it's most decadent before the revolution. Not only should you be rich, you must make sure everyone can see it. If there's a tax on masks you'll buy more than you can ever use just to show people you can afford it. Tax on silk? Make your clothes of silk. Tax on windows? Build more of them on your mansion so the peasants can count how rich you are.

I might not like the fashion, but it does get the point across.

Can't say I liked the fashion stylings of Orlais, masks excepted (women's clothing was a little dull I thought). Vivienne's looking like she's the frontrunner for the most stylish person in Orlais.

Then again if Alexius is on trend for Tevinter fashion...well, it makes Orlais look good by comparison. If the next game is in Tevinter, going to be hard to take magisters seriously if they all get around looking like second rate jesters (so failing on looking like the devil). Hope they change it!

I like the contrast Orlesian nobles have to Ferelden or Free Marcher ones. It really shows that they're far more adjusted to a more sedentary, first-world society that seems to be more focused on power-playing and intrigue than many other things. In addition, what they wear reminds me of Paris Runway fashion.

Also, I have a love of masks and the Victorian/Renaissance periods - so maybe it's just Morrigan's corset and the simpler without-the-weird-hair-bun-thing masks that certain characters wore.

It's renaissance France mostly lol, masks are obviously masquerade ball styled. I quite like it, though I wouldn't get caught dead wearing anything like it.

I like the fashion of Orlais quite a bit. It's very regal and interesting a refreshing change of pace to the dull, bland and rather stereotypical fashion of Ferelden. The people complaining about 'gritty realism' are being silly - Orlais was painted as very grand and unusual as far back as DA:O by Leliana's in-depth description of the region.

That's exactly how I was going to describe it.Although I expected to seek more colours,Morrigan's kit stated that pastels are in fashion.

I didn't mind it, but yeah I hated that stupid hat all the guys kept wearing where it pretruded out the sides. Apart from that though I didn't mind it.

Not enough use of the color black though, it offends my Martial Nature.

And to many damned nobles wearing purple, they think because theres a civil war on they can get away with this?! Purple is the colour of Royalty you upjumped curs!

Probably not. Some of the amazing concept art didn't make it into the game. Or translated kind of odd looking.

Just looking at some of the art for the Inquisitor's types of armor makes me cry because we didn't get anything near as good!

UGHHHHHHH, why Bioware, why do you make all that cool concept art and then don't use it in the actual game??
