I was sitting here listening to Dagna go on about the mark, when I wondered why not let Sandal and Bodahn return as well in a future DLC. Sandal might even be an interesting romance for Dagna as they work together in the undercroft to produce highly superior weaponry. Also Bodahn could sell rare wares like those from Origins. It would begin to give life to a somewhat sparse castle. Plenty of room in there to add things and people.
Item Enchanter Sandal and Merchant Bodahn's return in a DLC?

Good point always liked Sandal and his adopted father's store -they went on to Orlias should be easy enough to add. Think the first DLC is going to be mostly fixing and replacing and adding dropped content. Consider putting this in suggestions with some background and possible story line.
take care

I'd love to see Sandal come back...considering one of his 'rare' random chats in the Hawke house was basically a prediction of Inquisition ('the skies will open up something something more something' or something along those lines)...very suspicious ![]()

Sandal was one of my comic-relief moments in Origins. During the siege of Denerim, seeing Sandal stand among a multitude of darkspawn corpses and his only response being, "Enchantment," was awesome. I was like, screw Alistair and myself, send Sandal up to the roof to deal with the Archdemon. Sandal in DA2 was a warm spot for me as well. BRING MY LITTLE BUDDY BACK PLEASE!

I'm glad to see that I wasn't alone in this line of thinking. As much as I complain about the game, there are a lot of things I do like about Inquisition and hope that Bioware will read these blogs and continue to add, upgrade, and improve on this game and series that I love. I'm still playing, so they do have a hook here. Just get us some good DLC with some updates and things will get better.

Just wondering if anyone else misses these guys from the previous dragon age games. Be nice to see some dlc with stability patches.

They should have been in the vanilla game. When I first heard we were getting an enchanter, I thought it would be Sandal.......... then Dagna shows up to disappoint me.

I hope so, Wade too... I miss wade and sandal.
If they ever bring back the warden, these two are essential. Bodahn must be getting pretty old though.
Also, they have to tell us what Sandal IS... I remember the room with the darkspawn.

I was really wondering why Sandal and Bohdan were not in Inquisition. Really an upset. Three playthroughs later, I still don't really like Dagna.
I wish our decision in DA:O was respected to 'not' help her become a mage. I didn't think she'd be a forced "I have lines too!"

Would have been nice if you got sandal if you didn't help her, maybe they have plans for sandal in the future and had to be careful with the timeline (he was in witch hunt but should have been in kirkwall during that time). It certainly seems weird that bodahn would mention going to orlais at the end of DA2 and then they didn't show up.

I almost want to see Dagna and Sandal in the same room. It'll either be the cutest thing we've ever seen, or the room will be turned to dust. Either way, it'll be awesome.
And I'll definitely throw my vote for Wade and Haren. They were an awesome pair in the Warden's story, and they made some pretty sweet gear too. Imagine gear made from War Table missions to collect the remains of the High Dragons you kill, crafted by the amazing hands of Wade. Glorious.

Sandal being there right before the final battle in Origins was one of the best moments of my first playthrough. I was beat up, needing potions and things and wondering how I was going to survive this push to the roof and the final battle and there was Sandal. OMG that was so great.
My second best moment was a subsequent playthrough with a rogue at the Archdemon, everybody else dead as could be at the 25% point, and I still won by getting and staying underneath the dragon. I literally screamed yes as the cutscene took over.
But Sandal was, and will remain #1.

I'm glad to see that others feel as I do and want sandal back. Reading the responses reminds me of my first Dragon Age Origins campaign and how having Sandal at the end was awesome. I too want to know how he killed al those darkspawn.

Yes please! Would be a good opportunity to upgrade the shop in the Undercroft and have some more interactions with Dagna. Your professional dwarven team for crafts and all the sorts of gizmos to purchase.

Yes I miss them too, I also miss having a mabahri.

I'll admit, that's one of the weirdest things I miss in the game. It just doesn't feel complete without a trusty mabari by my side. I get it, we're filfthy Marchers, all of our Quisies are, but still, it's just not the same.

I enjoyed having Dagna around. Her enthusiasm made the forge area fun to go to.
Dagna gave us a hint as to why the Dwarves don't dream and can make enchantments. Sandal can't because he's deep in the zone. He might as well explain colours to a natural born blind person.

I miss those guys too. But if Bioware will be moving to other regions I'd prefer to revisit them in DLCs or a stand alone game. I want to use my Grey Warden again and reclaim my Vigilance sword. Then Wade can complete my Golem Shell armor into a full set.

Like I've said before, I am glad to see there are others who are as involved in the character dynamics as I am. I miss some of the characters of the past, including these two. Let's keep the discussion alive and hope that Bioware adds these characters in a future. Also lets keep the idea of storage and display cases going.

I heard it suggested before and I agree with the idea. I would get it a DLC with Bodahn selling some Deep Road and Ostagar artifacts while Sandal does what he does best, "ENCHANTMENT!"
I know the forge allows you to enchant using runes, but Sandal could add his own twist to things. Like removing a statistic and replacing it with another type. Just an idea.

Wade and Herren shop DLC is another idea. ESPECIALLY SINCE DRAGON(WHATEVER) is his specialty. I bet the developers could come up with a bunch of different armors and helmets to pimp out your Inquisitor.

Don't have any more thanks to give, but yes. I miss Wade and Herren so much, especially with the over-the-top VA! =(
Plus, Sandal is unforgotten for leaving his marks around Hawke's mansion. That was brilliant
I like Dagna very much as a character, but yet again a little bit of colour is drained from DA:I for the lack of Sandal's genius and inanity. I think the two of them would get along pretty well, with Sandal running around the room with shinies and Dagna chasing after him with a broom to get him back to their workbench.
