Seriosly though that was lovely. And apparently i've got to do a trilogy playthrough where Shep romances Ash now.

For those of you who like tributes and MEish music, I highly recommend you look up Reignite by Malukah. It's a great song even if you know nothing about ME.

I just found it, argh the memories...

Very well done!

At least the fans remember what the writers and developers forgot:  That which makes this game great.

Yes I believe the devs have forgot what mass effect is about.

There t focused on exploration rather then the emotions and connection to the game.

Posted an article along with this same vid two N7 days ago (2 years). It's a good one.

Though I find it ironic you say they forgot what Mass Effect is about, yet the video footage is pretty much all ME3.

Well, it IS the best one!

I've always enjoyed this vid. What I like most is that it illustrates other characters as well as Shepard and lets Shepard be more than "Unstoppable Space Hero" as with many other tributes I've seen. It shows faults, it shows cracks.

That'll always be the Shepard I identify with.

I'm not disagreeing. Simply pointing out the fact that there are those in this thread that are saying "Bioware forgot what Mass Effect was all about", whilst praising the "feels" this video gives them. Kind of puts a dent in their argument, when the content of the video is all from the last game. Clearly, Bioware didn't forget...

There is content in the video from the first two games.  Didn't you watch the video?  I mean, I know you just make statements up and point to them as fact, but get a grip.

And for some of us, yes - that stupid ending to the trilogy destroyed a lot of the feels, if not nearly all of them.  Clearly BioWare did forget.   I will not.

Aww someone is overly sensitive  ^_^

Please, point out where I made anything up....

Besides the two quick clips (Ash on Eden Prime, Saren on Virmire)there is literally zero footage from those two games in this video. You must not have watched it yourself. Take your own advice. Get a grip.

They did forget.  They forgot that Shepard was the players' character.  Shepard and the companions And that what they do and what happens to them matter to the us.

"We have to believe we can do something"

"There's always hope, it's what's gotten us this far"

"We'll get home again, Shepard.  I believe you'll lead us through"

Seeing that tribute video, amazingly put together though it is, brings to the surface all the things I find absolutely repulsive with ME3.

That's fine iakus. You have your views as anybody does. And while we rarely agree on anything, you know I've always respected that you bring something to the table in terms of discussion. You rarely come without a well-rounded response or perspective. Nor do you use childish rhetoric or put words in others mouths.

However, regardless of whether they did or didn't forget what it was all about, it is still ironic that an ME3 Tribute video is what gives them the feels they claim Bioware forgot about.

Thanks for the kind words.

But as I sometimes say, there's a difference between tugging on heartstrings, and yanking on chains.  That video tugged on heartstrings, showing us some of the Shepard's more "human" moments of ME3 to Two Steps from Hell music.  As opposed to ME3's chain-yanking.  The video does not, after all, show the context of Shepard's fate.

I agree. The video is well made and hits all the right marks. And no, it doesn't show the context of his death. I just don't feel "chain-yanked" by ME3 when it's all said and done. Maybe back in March 2012.  It's understandable some will always feel that way though.

Mass Effect became a part of my life. Playing it for years, anxiously waiting for the next one and avoiding spoilers, getting all the feelings from meeting, losing, conversing with all those great characters - it all left a permanent effect on my life. As Daniel Radcliffe said at the premier of the last HP movie, great stories stay with us for the rest of our lives and affect our decisions. Bioware has told an amazing story and even with all its flaws it still affected me deeply and changed my outlook on the world. When it was finished I felt sad. And not because of the ending, no. I felt sad because it was time to move on. Because the story had came to an end. Because that meant a change in my life of which Mass Effect became an important part. I'll be forever grateful to all members of the Bioware team who brought these amazing games to life. The video's title, "Remember Me" is something I'll always do. And this video (alongside the one linked below) is an amazing send-off for the trilogy.

Honestly. If they just forget about Shepard in the next game I will be seriously disappointed.

What was the point of the post credits scene in the destroy ending anyway?

To tell that Shepard has become legend.  Very honestly, I'm kind'a hoping that they do.  Discount him, start the series over with a reboot.  It'll show that the universe is well developed enough to stand on its own two feet.

Off topic :

God, I love that book.  I Am Legend, by Richard Mattheson.

It's both the best and the worst IMO.

There's much that I adore about the third game, and some things that I loathe.

The video though highlights the better things that the game achieved. Despite the auto dialogue I had a better connection with Shepard than in either of the other two games, and I absolutely didn't have a problem with Shepard displaying the strains of the immense pressure she was under at this point in the trilogy. The character had a vulnerability that wasn't really evident in either of the other two games, which I felt added a lot, for me at least.

It's a beautiful video, both in terms of the editing and the music and sits in a handful of ME vids that I could watch time and time again.

Re Shepard in the next game - I feel that BW backed themselves into a corner with that one. Needlessly. I'd be a lot more comfortable with a completely clean slate had I been satisfied with where the character finished at the end of the trilogy. As it is, with destroy, I didn't get that. A decent character epilogue would have gone some way to drawing a line under the character and allow more to move on than have. ME: Next will launch, likely with no reference to the character. People will complain. Needless.
