Origins kicked off this franchise with the Grey Wardens. DA2 was about the templar/mage conflict coming to a head. Inquistion was about stopping an ancient Darkspawn mastermind. I know the gameplay changed drastically and there are fewer choices going through the trilogy, but I love this franchise. I am not going to knock anything in this post, but just say thanks to the writers. DA4 is going to be another extension of Origins and I am looking forward to it.

DA:I has so much lore that they could not execute it through gameplay. Bioware are excellent writers and storytellers and will always support them, but the way they have been executing these stories through gameplay has gotten worse for every year.
