Hey guys, how are you today? I fnished the game today.
I wanted to take it slow, you know. Take it slow, make it happen [guess which game that is]...
So I played Dragon age Inquisition for 130 h. 10 min. I explored all and completed most quests. I tried every dialogues with the beloved companions /even with Sera, but I ll not talk about her/.
And then - boooom, here comes the ending. It was not good. It was not interesting. It was short. It was unnatural in terms of ending dialogues, which were a bit simple and unrewarding /the final party I mean/. The only cool part was Solas + Flemeth at the eluvian mirror. This is the only original part I noticed. Otherwise, starting from the first moment of the ending, I ll share what I dislike.
OK, they just talk about how hard it is to find Corypheus [or his home/ fortress/ hideout...whatever]. And just like in some cliche American movie, we talk about him and instantly BOOM! he appears. He comes with a new whole in the sky, not really explained why. If he wants to attack you he does not need to waste enegry to open a new whole next to Skyhold. And also, he must know you ll notice it, such a great mage should be smarter and think of something better OR just at the moment when you walk to your room he can attack the walls with magic/with the dragon or whatever. Anyway he opens a whole so that we "might notice" it is the ending quest and we might feel "endangered" or let's say "grand". Anyway then you go there and see a cutscene which is useless, I mean talking to some common soldiers , offering them to bow down and acknowledge him as a God. Cliche, cliche. So of course they refuse, then die and - and nothing. The battle starts, I liked the dragons fighting of course, but they could have put some 2-3 min.more into those dragons and more details. I expected also some nice quest and a some more interesting setting /I dont know exactly, I d rather fight him in the Fade or something.../
In stead we get those flying rocks, he summoned that crap for no reason. Then I just fight him and he is too easy which is not good because I could not have known I should be overgearred to have fun. I did not even drink much potions exc.with Vivienne 2x times.
Easy fight and cliche words. And then all the friends and allies of the Inquisitor come and the dialogue is weak. He just says "Let's go to Skyhold". LOL. I was surely more interested in the problem with Solas being gone, compared to all else in the ending.
I just love original dialogues, original endings. Then I expected a great final party in Skyhold. In stead it was boring. And everyone just says a few words, almost everyone says they will stay /which kind of makes no sense if we look at some of the characters background/. After that you have to go to your room with your loved one. WHAT THE HELL ?? I play this game for so long and then I just go to my bed with the love of my life??? Boring!!! I know that many people complain about the mass effect 3 ending but it was much more exciting and original, and in addition, more informative. We see some anime pictures in the end of the game, Morrigan talking but the info she gives us is kind of insufficient. All they did is prepare us or some DLCs. I m sorry, I feel I dislike the ending but I love the game as a whole. It deserves to be rpg of the year but any rpg os the year does not deserve a cheap ending.
