Yeah but GotY depends on the magazine or institution. LARA (german game of the year award) went to The Last of Us and Papers, Please. 4players reader choice awards to Dark Souls 2. All these games received a better or equal Metascore too to be fair.

Anyway, great feminist thinkers have concluded that having sex with one of your idols (movie stars, musicians,... ) constitutes as rape because, as a fan, you can't possible give 'real' consent. So, as inquisitor, herald of Andraste, destroyer of rifts, master-collector of metals and herbs, you are basically a walking rape-machine. Whorehouses are thus the only places where the inquisitor can have some non-abusive interaction!!

I wouldn't be too harsh, there are some great, feminist causes I'd champion in heartbeat, more female devs, more female gamers, equal pay, hiring policies based on ability not gender or looks, etc, I just don't think that a virtual brothel staffed by male & female prostitutes that cater for a male or female player characters in a video game where they have appeared in two previous iterations is one of them. 

 

Aside the missing desire demons, you know I never noticed during my playthrough, they were something I encountered in previous games rather than sought out like the brothel. Now somebody has pointed it out on here, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

What option to get a drink? I never ordered drinks in the Inquisition. In Dragon Age 2 it didn't serve any purpose anyway. You also couldn't sleep in the bed, sit on a chair, or even have a meal. It had no effect on your character's performance. No rewards whatsoever.

 

That argument from great feminist thinkers didn't make sense. You'll need to elaborate on that more. Don't forget forget the reference notes on which feminist said what.

I agree. Zoey Quinn, Anita Sarkeesian etc. and the brainwashed harpies that support them may be useless wastes of space that embarrass and destroy the very causes they claim to champion, but that doesn't mean feminism itself is wrong. I fight for women's rights without question. Just not when they're shutting down charities (THAT SUPPORT WOMEN'S RIGHTS WTF!!) or ignorantly pointing out "sexism" in games where they don't exist only to get a rise out of idiots who already hate men. 

 

Sadly, Bioware has fallen into this miserable group. They're so afraid of women being "objectified" that they must shield our virgin eyes from every stray areola lest the world spin back to the 16th century or whatever. They shouldn't have even covered them up! Should've kept it how it was... I mean, they're a part of the DA universe ffs. All of a sudden they're extinct or taking a vacation.

 

The best place for the brothel in Inquisition would be in Val Royeaux.
