Its pretty obvious from origins that Teagan doesn't care about his personal safety - he's willing to take the ultimate risk by going alone into Redcliffe castle. With Connor being the village, I just don't see him leaving, when he could just send someone else to Denerium. The whole point of his character was he was a 'Man of the People', a man who stood with them through thick and thin.

Even if Redcliffe is overrun in Origins (because you refuse to help and leave), he fights to the last breath, finally falling bloodied and wounded from being swarmed by Undead. And when you revive him, he;s instantly up and about planning how to get into Redcliffe Castle and save Eamon, Isolde and Connor, The man really doesn't know the meaning of the word fear, and is willing to risk a solo mission if needs be (because there is no guarantee that you will actually help him, especially if you left the first time).

Teagan didn't leave for his own safety he left for Redcliffes. If he stays and is found Alexius would take it out his people aswell as him.

The approval thing isn't that serious unless they greatly approve. And if a companions approval of you is low, just do their inner circle quest. They're loaded with approval.

Did the game say that? If it did I must have missed it. I'm genuinely curious.

No, that was for Lucius. The impression I get about the intended portrayal of this is that Fiona did speak with you, and then the time magic happened and the events played out again, but in a different way. It's a time paradox. You witnessed an event that never happened.

Of course, it could've been a case of impersonation, and when speaking with Fiona in Redcliffe, my first impression was "he's affecting her mind". But nothing is ever said explicitly.

I always figured it was a impersonation. The wiki says it could be both, but that time warping magic is more likely. Still, it doesn't seem like it's meant to be conclusive -- so I guess they don't care which we believe it is.

Does anything change with Connor in DA:I if he's alive but possessed at the end of Origins?

It was an interesting feeling talking to him all grown up. I'd never really considered how sh*tty that'd probably feel, getting older and actually becoming fully aware of the extent of what you did as a child. Intentional or not.

Poor guy.

Where can i find him? I made the bargain with the demon and want to see how this played out, so far all i heard was the storyteller. I'm already doing the wardens missions and sided with templars, can i still see him?

Personally, I would love to recruite Connor as a companion in the next installment. He can turn out to be a very talented mage and very wary of possession. He knows all too well the dangers of blood magic. He could also tell us the fate of the blood mage that poisoned his Dad. To me, Connor, is a good guy in the making.

Huh, didn't think about that, but that could be awesome. I don't think will happen because you can kill him. (But hey, leliana is there too, so who knows.)

AFAIK Nope. Connor hangs out by the docks in Redcliffe before you choose mages or templars. I seem to remember him disappearing after that point in game....

what? does no one pay attention dorian bluntly states that Alexius used time magic to get to fiona before you hence why she does not remember meeting you. Where are people getting this impersonating idea from? When the game tells you otherwise?

I'm not sure you can see him at all if you had bargain with the demon, or so I've been told.

Uh, look at your own statement. Dorian states Alexius used time magic to get to Fiona and the Mages at Redcliffe before us. He never says it was then used to send Fiona to Val Royeaux. If Alexius travelling to Redcliffe erased Fiona going to Val Royeaux why does the Inquisitor and the party remember meeting her? It didn't happen so therefore they shouldn't remember it.

Ermm.. he didn't need to send her to VR, the timeline is already screwed by the time you reach Redcliffe

Goes like this:

Normal timeline: Fiona Meets you at VR

Altered timeline: After you meet her at VR Alexius travels back in time and get to Fiona just after the Conclave, as result she never goes to meet you at VR, but your time is past that particular moment already.

You meet her at Redcliffe in a time paradox that Alexius has created.

But how does the Inquisitor and his party remember something that didn't occur. If Fiona forgot you should aswell.

Because for IQ it happened. Fiona didn't forgot, for her it simply didn't happened. That's why it's a paradox. Alexius inserted his altered timeline into normal.

edit: do you remember the time rift you closed before entering Redcliffe? Before you deal with it the village was living in its own time bubble.

If you say so. This time travel stuff sounds like BS though. I honestly prefer demon impersonation.
