I remember Troika also made the bid for fallout 3 but lost it to bethesda
That would have been incredible if Troika got it. Arcanum was a great spiritual successor.
There's a demo you can try if you're unsure of the game:

Observer's comment about using rocks and role-playing as a caveman is only half of the story, if you have low enough intelligence, you will speak like an idiot and it changes everyone's dialogue towards you, not just your own. The last game to implement a feature like this (as far as I know of anyway) was Bioware's Neverwinter Nights.

Almost two years ago i found the first and second games for 3 dollars each, crispy new
Long story short i was suprised by the difference in gameplay
What a world that would have been...
FO:NV was a great game, but I was seriously bummed out with FO3. With Troika at the helm... that would have been intense. Especially if the game wasn't published by Sierra. I like Sierra's action games, but some of the decisions they made Troika take (like with default Real Time combat) were poor.
I thought FO:NV was far better then FO3 but it surprises me the amount of people who talk about FO3 like its the best game in the entire series ![]()

Those people played FO3 first, I'd wager. FO3 missed so much of the fake humor of the original, not to mention the different ways to build your character, that it just seemed like not a Fallout game by comparison. Just a post-apocalyptic Elder Scrolls game.
