Fun is a very difficult topic what's fun for me may not be fun for you. As for the strongest 2H warrior the title goes easy to Reaver. Although its a 2 (or 3 if you count Ring of Pain) button class it's easily the most powerful all around of all the warriors. The Champion can do some insane stuff to bosses with To the Death and the Templar can melt down packs of enemies (that can be stunned) with Wrath of Heaven + Spell Purge combo but the Reaver got the best sustained dps out of all.
And no people don't get mad at you for going Reaver ( Cassandra is a bit worried) Iron Bull says you smell good.
Champ can be fun even while not tanking since it's 2-3 skills since line the sand is crap and if you get the focus skill
to the death is just a fun double edge sword especially if you are not soloing :DD
and you dont have to be tanking to find use in walking fortress
tis good to be champion
Reaver makes you into unarmed class with magical teleporting weapon to your back.

this is what killed reaver for me
magic hands
blood magic hands :I
Oh well i have pretty much accepted that this games combat and animations are even worse than 2. I keep hoping the next patch might fix some of my grievances so that warrior works a bit better but i doubt it. Infact i do not forsee any DLC for this game either as they might go straight for da4 and make a game for only 3 systems instead of current 5.
I really enjoy my current build - Shield Reaver. Pretty tanky even if I don't have an upgraded War Cry or Challenge. And the damage is pretty decent as well. I can drop my Health to the lowest possible for Reaver Bonuses since I have constant Guard at my disposal.
I don't find the need to bring an extra warrior with this build except for Companion related quests. Cassandra is my pure Tank, and the rest of my Warriors are 2H Flankers. I normally run with two Mages, and a Rogue.
In terms of Lore, the only two that have commented so far are Cassandra, warning you about the end result of Reavers going mad with power. And there's Iron Bull who comments that you smell great, "Dragoney" he says.
I've been having fun playing as glass cannon reaver.
2H Champion. Upgraded Walking Fortress + Upgraded Whirlwind (and Whirlwind ring) = Good Things.
2 handed templar, best mook killer, increases parties survivability, damage and prevents wiping.
I've only done reaver so far and I have to say it was one of the most un-fun specs I've played in an rpg. Was waiting on the patch for my next play through but since it apparently isn't going to fix the broken 2 handed skills I'm going ahead later today and I'm probably going Templar. My personal opinion, avoid Reaver but thats just me.
I recommend against reaver as well, you play like a unarmed char and spamming dragon rage over and over gets old. If you choose a warrior to use weapons then avoid reaver.
Here is a link to my 2handed champion build. Does great damage, has great defense, and can solo nightmare!
