Just like Flemeth didn't come back after Aedan Cousland put an arrow through her draconic skull. Oh, wait...

Anyways, Yavana for companion and male only love interest please.

Morrigan is alive and well, even if the Warden stab her. BioWare already retcon Leliana's death since DA2, and their reason to explain it in DAI is "lol, she got better" What stopping Yavana from return in DA4? There obviously something special with Flemeth and her daughters.

I support Yavana for companion, and love interest in DA4. ;)

Well, he put a big sword through her diaphragm and that's a pretty good way to kill someone. Though, Bioware does have a pretty liberal interpretation of death. Considering I think three characters in DA can potentially return from the dead. The three being Leliana, Anders, and Oghren, though I'm not 100% on Oghren.

Yavana is completely dead...there is no coming back

The books flesh out some of the in game characters better. There is no way they could have told us what happened to king Maric in DAI for instance

Just to reiterate this fact, Yavana is dead.

Did you read the book? If not give it a shot, you could read it in a day if you wanted

If you dont want to then please dont take it out on the book characters, could bioware have done a better job of fleshing out a character for people who havent read the masked empire? Yes they could have..... i didnt include asunder cause i feel cole was one of the best characters in the game

I would vote no, personally.   I am hoping they stay clear of these "book" characters.   They don't develop them enough in-game for us to know who they heck they are a supposed to be.    Like they have expected us to have read the books.

The whole Winter Palace area was really the poorest part of the game, because a lot of us had no clue who Celene, Briala, and Gaspard were even supposed to be.   Cole also only feels like half a character because of this.

So no... I hope they do a better job of keeping the books and games separate in the future.

This can never be quoted enough times.

I disagree that drunky likely did the events of the comic, as he very much seemed more in danger of falling off the bridge on the way home from the Warden's bar than going on grand adventures.  There isn't even a mention of him even trying to stand up to Alexius when he takes over Redcliff.

If you have Warden Alistair, when in the Fade, he says that it reminds him of the time that he encountered his father in the Fade. The only time Alistair encounters Maric is in the comic when Alistair is forced into the fade by the Magrellan. This plus the fact that Varric mentions he met Arishok Sten if Alistair is alive regardless of whether he is king, warden, or drunk clearly shows the events of the comics happen anyway if he's alive.

Curious: does Varric's dialogue about Sten change if the Arishok is alive?

Yup, but according to Varric Sten ends as the New Arishok anyway because the old one lost the book again and he didn't has permitted attack Kirkwall.

As for Yavana, I really hate Alistair for that, he is becoming a male version of Meredith (he kicked out his own mother as well) I hope that Flemeth taught her how to survive because this time she is not coming back, Solas will be probably a villain, Morrigan doesn't know the old secrets and the Architect has amnesia, so.. yes I think that would be ideal bring back Yavana (Leliana survived and she is not a mage)

Unfortunate. It would have been interesting to see both as options, to view the differences they'd have in response to future events.

Asuming that the Qunari didn't kill him for war crimes, the former Arishok could appear either with another rank or as a Tal-Vashot, in the second case he could be angry with the Qun and sell the black powder formula as a payback... I think that it would be an interesting plot

I literally just got that trilogy today and finished the first book (Where Alistair stabs her, killing her)

...Well, Flemeth got stabbed, she reincarnated. Morrigan got stabbed, she survived. Yavana got stabbed... who knows?

I mean, earlier in the book she DID pull Claudio's spirit out of the fade and force it back in his body... Who is to say she couldn't do the same for herself? She was also resurrecting dragons soo... "Death" doesn't really seem like a barrier to her. A setback, judging by her expression upon being stabbed... But maybe she isn't dead. If they brought her back, I could get behind that. She was extremely interesting, and I feel like she was killed off WAAY too fast.

That said, she'd need more character development. At this point, Morrigan is everthing she was and more.

I agree that she should has a plan to come back and I have some facts to support it
1- She earned the nickname of "The Beast of the Tellari Swamp" she has killed many dudes to protect the grove she should consider that one day they could surprise her and hurt her or even kill her, she didn't seemed so stupid or so proud to believe that it won't happen.
2-The Dragons don't want to hurt Alistair because they need his blood to awaken their comrades, but if they don't have someone to perform the ritual Alistair would be useless and nothing could stop the Queen of Dragons to squash the little selfish bastard that condemned her brethren.
And personally I think that her dead was unfair, she saved Alistair twice and for me she was being honest with him, the kind of evil witch that he claimed that she was would rather threat with kill his friends or fool him to have sex and earn a child with Calenhad's blood.

Hey there is a little paradox in here, Alistair can b e alive, but you can left Sten in his cage or kill him at Haven.

Flemeth is Mythal, Yavana is not an elven godess.

Morrigan survived only because the warden did not crossed the eluvian to finish her,the eluvian was still functional......

brace your dissapointment also you're banned i see

bye bye.

Hope she's wearing the same outfit from the comics.... Morrigan might have some competition.... and yes, in the comics Alistair killed her, but how many other characters have been killed only to appear later?

Flemeth is Mythal, Yavana is not an elven godess.

Anyway i doubt that an Hundred years old Being like Yavana is intrested in Romance so even if she will be present in the future is hard to belive that she will become a companion or even a romance option......

I know Dragon Age is a video game IP.... but comic book deaths are never permanent. And Yavana is a character in a comic book who is related to not one, but two really hard to kill Witches. If you're expecting her to be dead brace yourself for disappointment.

And as for the romantic argument.... Fen'Harel and Lavellan.

Yes, but as powerful as Flemeth's daughters may be they don't have a soul of an elven godess inside of them and as far as we know can't produce horxruxes as can Flemytal.

Suggesting that she may survive a killing blow is pure far-fetched speculation.Though dead comic book characters don't have to be dead in your canon universe, so there might be a chance Yavanna is still alive (If Alistar is a drunk and never went to The Silent Grove?).

How do you know that Yavana has nothing special? She knew that Flemeth was Mythal and wanted to give her godhood to Morrigan, but why Flemeth didn't pass it to her instead? maybe she was a full vessel, if she cursed Xenon, she is about 300 years old, just 100 more and you have a witch who was born after the 4th Blight.
