I've been looking into the game files and I'm wondering how warp rounds work.

ME3 Wiki states as long as a target is biotically primed it does extra damage (on top of normal damage bonus) but in the game files it states it as liftdamagebonus[X]. I don't really stress test these to figure it out but does it only work if a target is lifted, contrary to the description?

TIL I don't know how plurals work

Consensus around here is that "lifted" relates to "primed", but I wouldn't wonder if there is more to it.

It was tested, and it works on primed targets.  Game changer right thar

Edit: Here's the post where Cyonan reveals his findings

Back to the future!

Holdover from ME2 mechanics.

Maybe Bioware changed it (during developement or with a patch) and what Mgamerz found about liftdamage are just the remains of the old mechanics?

Maybe I am just a raging alcoholic but I can never tell the difference from the armor weakening effect of warp rounds

It uses that variable because of ME2.  WA has always worked the same in ME3 since release.

I believe "lifted" just means biotically primed.  There are a couple of skills that state "lifted" but they mean anything primed, not just floating in the air from Pull or Singularity.  I am too tired to remember which skills, but you know what I'm talking about.  I have definitely been able to notice a ton of extra damage while using Warp Rounds IV with a character that can prime.

Very easy to see that on armored targets.

Also: They are working as intended.

Does "lifted" mean "primed" with cluster grenades too? I always thought it's more like, whatever the grenades lift, takes more damage while lifted.

Cluster Grenades are an example, deals double damage for the first grenade that hits a target but not the others (so it's pretty much like tossing an extra grenade on primed)

Yeah even if it hadn't been tested, I don't know that there would be much room for doubt that it adds extra damage vs primed targets, when you use it a on a high single-shot damage gun like the Claymore the effect is very noticeable.

I guess to avoid making a new thread, Siege Pulse's upgrade to 'armor/shields/barriers' damage in-game calls it Anti-Armor. I can't view every property so I don't know if it actually updates the damage for shields and barriers...

I mean, we are talking about reckoning DLC, the least QA'd MP DLC. It wouldn't surprise me if it didn't actually do what it said.

I can't recall the answer to that particular question, since I've never been interested in the Juggernaut, but the answer to that and many other questions you might raise are all collected in Peddro's thread, which I'm sure someone will be nice enough to link, since I'm on mobile.

I believe (although I don't know if I've ever seen it confirmed) that if you have primed a target with Warp/Reave/Singularity/etc. and you detonate that priming effect for a biotic explosion, you no longer get the Warp Ammo biotic damage bonus, even if the biotic power is still applying a DOT after the explosion.  Does anyone know if this is correct?

Primed protections other than shields receive extra damage. Barriers take a ton of damage, armor and health a little less.
