Hey anyone remember programming pixels on the C64 screen using BASIC and all that? :)

I really don't miss waiting for those tapes to LOAD and RUN though.

L

in 1979, when I was 9, my 5/6th grade classroom got an Apple IIe (the first computer in the school). I learned how to program BASIC that year. I never did get into hacking/phreaking like some of my friends - who were raided by the FBI in 1983. http://www.edweek.or...080007.h03.html

I really have enjoyed my mages; my last game was an archer (I really want to post a pic of her because she turned out well--can we have a thread to do that? :D ) and I feel the same way. Not again.

On top of that, I had to double-left-click to get the archer to start shooting every time. Happened enough times (on the Player Character only--didn't happen on Varric or Sera on that game or any of the others) that I think it was a bug.

I did grit my teeth through my sword and board girl. Took me longer than it should have because I took a break every hour or so to rest my hands and my temper.

Do you have a mouse software program, if so just macro scroll wheel push to auto attack :)

Call me blind, but where is the version number for the game. We're on 1.03, but I want to make sure the game is up to date. I am not entirely sold on Origin telling me it's up to date.

Hey Guys and Gals, Unwashed (@ Jackpoint, thanks for this one, mate) Naysayers,

I'd really like for our little community of PC Players/RPG fans/old gamers and Young Minions to continue to expand.

So, please, do try to use the infamous technique my legal Criminal Mind has devised on page 1 of this thread.  Let me repost it for you below:

Welcome to any and all!

In order to keep this group alive, to make it expand and be able to provide a safe haven for old gamers like us against the Rage and Fury of Fanboys and Trolls, and HAVE FUN while talking on the forums, I 'd like to respectfully submit to you all some 'guidelines':

Step 1. Try to identify 'good gamers' on threads; here's how I do it: each time you notice a funny, balanced and useful post on any topic, go to the user's profile and check their likes.  You should be able to see if this isa gamer you want to be part of this group easily.

Step 2. Invite this GOOD GAMER of the DAY of yours to this group and ask him to repeat Step 1

Step 3: Help Sylveria and I find three more managers/mods: we need someone from NA, someone from Europe ,and someone from Asia/Australia. If we get this three or better six people, we will be able to (i) hold the fort, aka as this Group, the Master PC community concerns Thread and the Patch one, against Trolls and (ii) continue to make our voices heard on the BSN and the Web

Step 4: in case or Troll or Fanboy attack on other threads, be sarcastic and snarky: that's the way of things today on the Web, and call for support by PM: Sylveria, me or others if needed

Also, don't abandon the old Master thread or the forums in general.  this is a place to chill and really talk about games, but if you want to influence others and BW by your enlightened opinion, it won't do.

All subjects and threads on a forum should be open to discussion without TROLLS, aka as SJW's and hysterical young fans.

Since BW mods are now only there to either tell us things we already know or engage in EA propaganda, this group shall also function as a defense squad against stupidity, fanboyism and, I repeat, TROLLS.

So, please, do invite GOOD GAMERS using our method for Profit and Fun.

Thank you, Sex Gnomes, Thank you Cartman, Thank you Isabella

My wife and I were discussing on the way home from work our experience at SXSW 2012. There were a bunch of young men and women (in their early 20s) that stated they were employees of Bioware at Austin.

------------

------------

Big Snip

I can't blame their attitude.

Starting about 15-20 years ago I notice large corps. started treating their employees as assets... to be discarded when top management said so.

Today, the young generation doesn't give a shite about the company either. Old concepts as loyalty was a two way street..... not today.

So, yeah, I can understand that attitde.

I've found the people who never realized that loyalty is earned not given, well... they irk me. you want loyalty on a silver platter, sorry, it's not on todays menu.

(that could be a cleaner rant I guess, but I haven't had my coffee quota today)

I get it, too. Union doesn't seem like such a dirty word anymore. By the way, I already know of two of that group doing something else in Austin now.

Thanks for the invite! I registered on the Bioware forums for the first time in 2003 after buying NWN. Lost track of that account a long time ago, but I started out with BG1, coming from pen and paper AD&D.

I've never played really played much consoles. My younger brother had a PS1 and an N64 and I played some games on it, but that's about all I know about consoles.

My first computer was a C64 back in '89 moved to Atari ST in '91, then Macintosh in '94 and finally Windows PC in 2012.

As for DA, I played DA:O when it came out and was pretty entertained, but I confess it felt like an MMOified console port to me at the time, so DA:I is deja vu all over again ;)

I like a variety of games, but some turned me off. ... like one Ultima VII, I think. The one that you had to feed your group or they would complain... that was a quick uninstall and delete for me.

Oddly, I liked the very first Microsoft Flight simulator with the ingame WW1 air combat. Anyone remember that?... graphics were just a wire frame...

I always liked aircombat sims. think I still have my copy of CFS2 pacific, it's around here somewhere.

---edit
out of all my friends, I was the only one who could down 4-5 flights of zekes in a f4 wildcat (alone), usually being felled by a lack of ammo.

Operation Flashpoint any flight mission - ARMA1-2 MP dog fights - Lomac MP - Black shark - Flaming cliffs, all very good flight combat sims, Hoping Star citizen will be similar in MP too, time wil tell. Oh and almost forgot War Thunder Online

If anyone wonder what our technology on pc can allow us to do about character creator, here a video of an mmorpg :

Just trying to say that pc are powerfull system and we should be allowed to so more in the chara creator. Single player rpgs rarely invest much in their character creator when there is one. Which is a shame, imo.

in flashpoint I preferred sniping, one of the only games that I can recall that required deflection shooting. and I love the dragonov rifle, I need no fancy auto-ranging scope to be lethal.

Mainly because it wont sell on console,or run for that matter, have you seen the ME4 stuff they did on the Unreal engine too?

most of my friends hate it when I go sniping, they think I'm kill stealing, even though it's more like ***saving, from a distance.

for me, svd dragonov, hands down. as it takes skill to be lethal with it.

---edit
or if I'm not a Russian, the sws24 (bolt action sniper rifle we got from a mod)

---edit again
though I was also quite fond of the M4 "masterkey" (M4 with an underhanded shotgun, same mod)

Bioware are good at showing off cool stuff that won't be for sure in the final product.

So I don't really care about that video :P

Also, I don't think that lazy character creators are related to concoles market at all, since the first ones who appeared were on pc since years ago. It's just that SP player dev don't really care, imo.

I honestly do not mind some AMD love, ofcourse i am biased as im on their hardware. Will probably get the 970 for witcher 3 though, i feel my 7950 will let me down.
