NAV has still 170 days on the clock and since I paid for it I'm gonna use it Who knows, maybe I'll have Windows 10 already before these 170 days are over.

I use Avira free, I like it a lot. The scheduled scan is called 'Luke Filewalker'- what's not to love there, amirite?

 

@Godzilla, it isn't so much the joystick (though there have been a few moments entering the station where the sensitivity to roll had be nauseated lol!) as the sheer number of buttons! The set up I opted for uses three modifier buttons so everything has numerous options depending on the modifier....I hit the wrong modifier and what should have been boost and *BOOM* lol!

 

@ MatrixGirl- I heard about those weirdos on the news but didn't know it was near you- I'm glad you stayed in and are safe. Nutjobs all over the world these days, our news said they weren't considering them terrorists though and I hope not. Nutters without the fantacism are slightly more comforting...slightly.

 

@ Sutree, hope you slept a bit. It sucks when things like the pc troubles happen when you have big issues to deal with as well. Something that should be a positive distraction suddenly turning into another layer of stress is no fun at all.

generally for gifs and pics I right click on the image/gif select copy url then click on the image icon in the reply box hit control+v to paste and bingo was her name-oh

I second that! Have been using MSE for years now. I used eScan before but MSE does everything for a standalone PC. We don't need industry standard AV. It gets updated almost daily too!

True, that´s the main reason i´m so stressed and with lack of sleep, i can´t catch a break, you know. Like, ok, i have problems, we all have, but when everything looks like is turning against you, geeez. Breath, breath.

I see. What about...voice control? There is a tool called "voice attack". It is free for around 10 commands or so. If you wanna have more you have to pay (price is low).

 

I definitely recommend to at least check out the free version, look for some tutorials on how to set it up.

@Godzilla- I have Voice Attack! With this voice pack and that was part of the problem...the pack is bound to mouse so I had top go and replicate the HOTAS set up but afterwards discovered I'd messed up  the throttle binding so was having all sorts of responsiveness issues. I kept having to switch back to my custom layout. It was just a touch frustrating.

 

Also, he hasn't actually given a list of the commands lol! So unless I want to go through VA and sort them out myself I figure I should learn my buttons. I have a diagram...

OMG! That cat knocking things off- the look ion it's face haha! Mine do that look too when I tell them no, but being good, obedient Burmese, they desist in their errant behaviour and earn a cuddle lol!

 

And the one a bit before- the guy losing it in the Oculus Rift? Bahahaha! Why would anyone play a horror game in VR? Madness! I would die, literally die. Heart would stop, end of. I so want one for ED if I'm still playing when they are officially released!

I liek the idea of space sims and VR, I've always wanted to be in space. That is the only thing that I would give up my pets and horses for- a life in space. Mind you, I could probably take my cats and bunny...

Hey PC Players group.  How about we reiterate the top 5 (or so) specific fixes you personally need/want for DAI PC so you, personally, can play this game the way you expected.

 

I'm sure the bulk of our lists will be similar, I'd just like to get an organized set of information from everyone, primarily because many of you have finished and replayed the game and know the extents of the inputs.  Whoever ends up working on the beta will surely benefit from this, and I think the more aware we are, the better results we might end up getting.

 

I'll start:

 

Map mouse buttons 3,4, and scroll

 

LMB+RMB = walk fwd

Auto attack/loot/interact

walk toggle

Select All function (drawn box)

Maybe, but how do they know who is signing in? Like, is there a filter to strain out criticism?
