I like being able to swap between OTS and top down view myself. I like to watch the combat up close sometimes, but want to be able to set it up tactically too. This is why DAO was so freaking awesome...and DA2 was tolerable for 3/4 of the game... lol!
Yep, I'm in agreement with you. I really liked that I had the option to zoom out and play it like a chess game.
Ok, here´s where you are going to hate me. I know KB&M is the best way to go on PC, but i don´t really hate when games go for the control gaming experience. For Mass effect was a cool improvement IMHO.
BUT, in RPG yeah, i rather more the tac thing of KB&M, controls have limited buttons so the experience is slayed. We need really inmersive and complex gaming tools. They should make a control with all the Keyboard keys. LOL that´d be hilarious.

That's why I'm kind of disappointed and not getting excited by the PoE and Sword Coast releases, I don't want to be stuck top down for the whole game so will be steering clear. DA:I should have been all the awesome for me, but nope. *sadface*

But you have to admit the "dungeon master" mode is appealing. Can you imagine playing through a custom adventure with 4 of us and a person narrating/rping NPCs and controlling monsters through voice chat.

See, being a lifelong console peasant prior to discovering DAO and the joy of mods (played DAO on PS3 first) I still like my console games though won't buy the new ones, (Lost Odyssey is amazing) but you know what? Even the controller sucks with DAI because of the crappy combat mechanics. Dragon's Dogma plays 110% better with a controller- and not just because you can climb things either.
DA:I really is an EPIC fail.

I don't hate you. I don't mind if a game uses a controller. It's actually fine for games like Tomb Raider or emulated game but when you specifically point out that your game is made by pc gamers for pc gamers.. doesn't that indicate that it's made for keyboard/mouse?

Oh, okay. I hadn't thought about actually playing with people, haven't had anyone to co-op with for a few years now since I let my Xbox live sub die out...yeah, that would make a big difference, I can see the appeal now. Take me back to my table top days...

I read the first one, it was the thousand year dreams or something right? That was all I read. Also when the kid dies in his arms I had tears streaming. Easily the saddest game ever made.

I love the game, TBH, but had so many bugs and bad mechanichs that you can´t end liking it 100%. And that ending... demn. Still, a nice experience, and yeah, i´m in love with the characters and stuff. Maybe i have low standards, idk.

I know it's a sexy board and it is in a case you cannot see the board, I went for quality not looks :-)
And with my CPU it will be a cold day in hell before a console touches that :-)
Consoles will never really catch up since their R&D starts 3-5 years prior to launch so unfortunately we'll never see you run the 1 km. To be honest, I think this is it for Consoles for a another decade or so.

I want to love it, which is why I am still playing, albeit on Casual with a bow and taking more screenshots and vids than anything else...but when you stop me playing with my daggers, I get cranky lol!
Still, my Rhodrii is dreamy so there's that going for it lol! If they hadn't pimped it as a pc game and a legitimate follow on to DAO, I would have waited for a sale and maybe not been so bitter. But I paid FULL price for a game that is not what it was represented to be, and so am kind of cranky...
But then I ended up hanging with you guys because of it, so maybe the money was well spent after all!

I tried DAI the other day after installing my 980 and everything on ultra was getting 95Fps all on ultra and while loading to another region it would go up to some insane 400 plus FPS, yes it looked pretty , but my character looked like plastic, so uninstalled it again due to frustration and boredom :-)
Putting in another 980 tomorrow in SLI will not even try DAI since it does not work in SLI :-)
yeah, without substance, the pretty just doesn't do much for me.

Haha! I am what we here is Aussieland call a Cadbury (it's chocolate and their advertising used to concentrate that each 200g block has a glass and a half of milk, because you know, that makes it healthy) and lose all forms of internal censor after a few lol!
Which is why I am so very entertaining when the drinking games start lol!
