And lots of them at that price could be drives that have failed and they refurbished them and are probably only the 3GBPS :-)

Still faster than a normal HDD, but reliability is important :-)

Sweet looking rig, you did a great job, now let's put both our system side by side and we could go to Mars in 10 seconds or less :-)

An external SSD array is a good idea, but to use it just for storage I would save my money and use 5 x 2TB regular HDD and it would cost you less :-)

External SSD arrays are really for server purpose, for storage it is kind of using a sledge hammer to kill a fly :-)

Oh nice, a case where the mainboard is actually standing on the "floor" and the graphic card upright. That's a great idea actually. :)

But my case is good and I like it, will keep is as long as it rusts away lol. :D

@Disturbedjim83  Can we get a shot of the front/back of case ?   Very nice looking case but way too many lights for my taste.  :)

Yes I said that to him already, the only thing missing is the disco ball in it :-)

As I always said I do not like cases with a bunch of lights, but that is me preference:-)

You guys saw my case, I have lots of sexy components inside, but I like to keep them hidden :-)

You read my mind  :D and thanks took me about 5 hrs including putting all the spare parts from the NZXT Switch 810 back and packing the old case away back in its original box.

I suppose during the 10 second trip to Mars we could.............play top trumps lol

Ya, I know.  You like it stealthy and hidden.  I actually like the windows but one/two light sources is the most I would use.. Just enough to give it the inner glow but not like a refrigerator. :)

Well to each they own :-)

I do not like side windows, hence why I got my case with the sound proofing in it, even if my dual 980 and my Dual SSD's and CPU cooler and PSU is also super silent :-)

But Disturbedjum rig looks sweet if you are into that kind of case :-)

Hey, going from 4 gb single channel to 8 gb dual channel on the memory boosted Windows Aero/Game performance from 5.9/6.1 to 6.8/7.4 in Windows 7.

Sure no problem took most of the lights out just having those 3 L.E.D Fans in.These are just stock shots till I can get the lighting better was coming out a bit blurry.

I definitely like this new Thermaltake you got vs the NZXT.  :)

Aside from the inconvenience that no mother-board I now of will boot without RAM installed, is there any way that we could use an SSD as a memory module, or any reason we shouldn't?

I'm picturing a system with NO DDR at all and 1-2TB of SSD's subbing as RAM ... ;)

I figure I would share with you so if someone asks you if it makes a difference on AMD APUs. :)  With APUs , you also want to get the highest speed it supports. For A8 7600, it's DDR3  2133, for A10 series, it tops out at DDR3 2400. Best value would be to get DDR3 1866 because the percentage boost from 1600 memory to 1866 is at around +35%, and then a another +15% boost from that to 2133, and very minimal boost of 5% from that to 2400.

Hard to spin the bottle in zero gravity :-)

Same and its only £20 more than the Switch 810 can't wait to put dual 480 Rads in the Roof.I'm still in awe of how it makes my R9 290's look soo tiny lol

I use 2400 DDR4

4 x 8 Gig Ripjaw memory, I like that brand it has copper heat sinks on them, so the ram stays nice and cool :-)

@MatrixGirl. One from OCZ and the other from PNY.  The OCZ is faster and lower power consumption. I'm leaning towards it, but am open to feedback.

I would stay away from PNY, OCZ is much better, but are they the 6GBPS drive and does your board have an 6GBPS ESATA external port for that array ?

And does your board support RAID?
