For me there was almost no hype tbh. I expected a good rpg and already counted on The Witcher 3, then due in January, to save the rpg genre. Actually DAI turned out better than I expected for me, but that isn't so hard when you don't expect anything, or is it?
Up until a few weeks prior to release I wasn't even sure whether I will get the game or not. Then I read a bit more about the game, watched preview videos and only then did I start to look forward to it. ^^
I had no issues with my input devices in all the ME games.
But I found ways to fix those issues
Lots of people run Overclocking software that come with their motherboards so they can OC from within Windows that software is junk
I removed that software and all the problems went away
If you want to do a proper OC do it in the BIOS
Overclocking Windows software in my opinion is not good at all.
Maybe this is why my machine has no problems running DAI
45 to 60FPS
I mentioned that to lots of people and they did it and my mail box was full of hey your trick worked thanks so much
But not everyone wants to do a real OC in the BIOS because it is a bit intimidating:-)
For me, DAI has been a very stable experience, too. Right at the start I had the problem with white-screen-crashes during cutscene-conversations, but I found a topic in the technical forum that suggested turning down the post-processing. I did it and it was fixed.
120 hours of gameplay later and not a single crash. Until...earlier yesterday. A non-recurring crash when I started a judge-sit-in in the throne room. I simply restarted the game, loaded the save and it worked.
PS: I don't OC. Every. My graphic card is factory-oced but that's it. ^^
