I know, right MG? I think no imagination is right on the money, yeah sure it could have done without the nutty professor side story- but then all the best anime has that elemnt and since they were clearly trying to make a LA anime...Yeah it worked.

 

I was literally calling cheering as I watched it, all the awesomes in one movie. I am proud to love it.

 

Fellow PCGamers, I need your assistance, I have come into some unexpected fundage and need to be talked down from succumbing to the urge to buy an Oculus Rift DK2. I have sworn I would wait til the official release but...ED in VR glory has a strong siren call.

 

Remind why it is smart to wait til the development period ends before spending money...

 

And have you played the other Deus Ex games MG? I was thinking of giving Revolution a go but since I haven't played the first ones thought I might miss out if I don't. And since my must start the Witcher series start date is rapidly approaching....

Ah, well, looks like we're in for even more rain today lol! nasty things happening just a bit north right now with the ex cyclone -now a low creeping its way down. I hope it misses us, excessive rain I can deal with, damaging winds I do not like and with all the water we've had big trees will topple from a fart.

Nope this is the first game I play of that series and it is worth giving it a try :-)

 

Lots of fun and also quite hard even at normal level :-)

 

But the kill moves are awesome when you get behind someone and snap their necks or dual stab them with wrist swords

I think I would wait until they have it dully implemented and working properly before I would spend the money on the Oculus

I highly would not recommend spending anything on VR until they decide on what they want to do with it.  Once  it's in it's final retail form, it might be worth a look then but for now it's just not ready.

Dang it...I notice how I mentally withdraw from this forum because I've finished the game. This always happens and also carries over to things like modding. As long as I play I'm super enthusiastic about modding a game. The moment I stop playing, the interest is gone.

 

I was never before invited to such a group though, so I'll try to "say hello" once in a while. ^^

I highly would not recommend spending anything on VR until they decide on what they want to do with it.  Once  it's in it's final retail form, it might be worth a look then but for now it's just not ready. 

 

Ahh, thing is loads of people are using the DK2 in ED and loving the hell out of it, so I think in this case it is pretty close to release. Not so sure it would work for running around games, but for stuck in a cockpit in space it seems ready enough.

 

Having said that, I have sworn to wait... it's just so hard to keep my resolve with all the raving on the ED forum and youtube lol!

The frame rates really need to be higher on the lens so it does not cause so much eye strain.  The tech is evolving fast so it won't be a long wait til it's really good.

Yes I love stunning the people also, but I much prefer sneaking behind them and doing a nice clean kill

Plus I like the game play

 

Deus EX HR DC also has a good story

 

But it is the type of game if you make a foolish decision, you get to pay for it

 

Right now I am concentrating on giving my character lots of stamina and quick recharge power

I always wondered how some players are able to do that. "This my my fourth character, a mage..." Can't do it. I usually decide for one class and one character. I spend hours in the editor. And then I play the hell out of the game. And then I let it rest for a long time, until I try another playthrough. And for some games that even never happens.

 

It happened for the whole Mass Effect series, at least three times per game and it happened for the The Witcher games, two times for each game. It didn't happen for DAO though. I almost played through with my first character, but that never happened. Then after a while I started a second character and played it till finish, then the DLCs, then the addon. For DA2 I finished it once, was so pissed after the ending that I uninstalled and erased my savegames lol. xD

 

So yeah...not sure how other people do it. For me it's primarily the story, the lore, the characters and once I know everything I can't just jump in and play it again and then again and again.

Well as I said when patch 5 comes out and I am finished with DEHRDC and TW1 and TW2 , I will then play DAI

 

But right now as I said before , people here are telling me that DAI is not that great of a story and just do the main plot and forget the side empty filler quests

 

So I will try it, but I felt the lore a bit more in DAO

Yeah, they do that on purpose.    I think there is something that let you carry a little more but you still end up doing quite a bit of inventory management.

Yes of course, but it is hard to get close to the bad guys when they are shooting at you and you got 4 rounds left

 

So it is more of a sneaking around game , with lots of emphasis on silent killing and watching your enemy, and moving when they have their back turned on you

 

But I just took on one of the boss fight the guy had massive body armor tons of grenades and a mini gun and I killed him with 2 handgun shot to the back of the head from an air duct

But the question is;

 

Did I have fun and do I like the story the answer is yes

 

I suck at the hacking part of it , but I am sure I will get good at it eventually

It is nice to be able to do some key binding to my mouse :-)

 

We will not talk of another game that does not let you do that :-)

I guess you wont have the time. Was it you who said you're not so into GTA? Okay, so maybe no GTA V for you in march, but then again only two months from march until The Witcher 3 and you haven't even started The Witcher 2.

Sigh. I guess my main concern comes from zuckerman buying oculus  and wondering if perhaps the release one won't be better than or even as good as the DK2 because moneygrubbing...
