So let me see if I got this right :-)
Players have to pay to play and that helps the company make the game
And you get to buy ships and stuff and you can fly against other pilots?
But since you are a backer you will get extra perks when the game comes out for the non backers ?

Sorry KilrB, I don't get the reference...
I used to like listening to it playing EVE.
Something about the lines:
Can you hear me from a thousand miles
When you're screaming at the stars?
Can you pull me up to Jupiter
When I'm all hung up on Mars?
... and the live version! 10 minutes of rock-n-roll bliss.

Ahh, now I get it!
Sort of like me and Space Oddity- 'Here am I sitting in a tin can...'
I still have to turn off the music to dock though lol! Too distracting. ![]()

X3
terminus (if you're into the classics)
universal combat (aka what battle cruiser turned into) -- be wary of ground combat... it seems to be tacked on there at the last minute, though it can be fun to exit your carrier in a shuttle and land planet side and run around with a rifle or some bfg.
those are really the only ones I can recommend. though I did have some fun with Klingon academy, also back in the day.

I hear you GODzilla, I've been struggling with whether or not to buy in early for a while now. I mean, and Avenger is what $75 USD and you get both games in the package.... ED cost be $70 AU when I bought it so two games and BETA access for a little more seems like a good deal...BUT...
Indeed its tempting, but the prices really do hurt. Guess that's a good thing, otherwise I'd probably have bought many more. But instead I fell in love early with the 300i and got the 325i and nothing else fortunately. ![]()
I still think it's the best looking ship in the arsenal, in this class / size I mean.

AT the moment I'm replaying Freelancer. Still good after all these years even if the graphics are dated.
Same for Darkstar One.
Starpoint Gemini 2 has better graphics, game-play is good.
X3 is the most "realistic". It has amazing graphics and physics, and a steep learning curve.
Still haven't gotten past the first few systems and seldom play it in favor of more "user friendly" games.

Nearly got crushed between a large truck and a cement wall today
My brake line exploded and I had no brakes left, quick thinking dropped the car in first gear and use the hand brake and save myself from a real painful accident
That was a scary moment :-(
Car getting fixed now :-)

I am looking forward to SC :-)
We can play together :-)
And Chris Roberts is not a console developer:-)
So we are pretty sure it is going to be a great game :-)
He is the guy who did the Wing Commander series, and people always told they were amazing games for those days :-)
Saw the video of SC and I will be getting the game when it comes out for sure :-)
I will even get a joystick for it :-)
Have you got yourself into a Org yet MG I'm in 1RAS (1st Royal Aerospace Squadron) feel free to swing by

But Squadron 42 is apparently launching later this year.
Yes or at least the first chapter(10 missions out of the 50+ missions or so) the roadmap is to have the complete Squadron 42 Campaign out before the PU goes public though their may be a PU alpha with 5 systems to explore for those of us with packages that came with Alpha Access (me) and those who pick up one of the $5 passes.
