Something about allocating video memory to its full capacity so 2 x 4 will give you 8 gig, how they will do that could be software wise or driver wise :-)

 

But not to worry AMD will copy the tech 5 minutes after it comes out :-)

I know when I ran it a long while back, it was fine.  No magic needed. Just the ability to follow instructions properly.

 

Exactly, runs just fine for me and lord knows I'm a monkey when it comes to such things. But I can read intructions and follow them, which is all that was needed lol! I played them on my laptop and wanted to upgrade the graphics when I switched them over to this PC, there is a difference with the mod.

 

I might have to find out about the relationship thing, it seemed done though. At least with ME they held off til the end so you had build up. I did the gayshep hack on ME1 so had them together through the whole trilogy and that was great fun, especially in the second one with that meeting... lol! I'll have to get back to my replay- I had MEHEM for ME3 but had to reinstall Origin and forgot to check don't update and the damned thing wrote over the mod...most disappointed not to have my HEA lol!

 

I'm making a confession right now. Come the end of financial year sales (June 30 here) I have every intention of buying a PS4 so I can play this when it comes out. Because if I learned anything from the DA:I experience it's not to trust a port to PC lol!

And the next series of Nvidia cards will have a built in sound card in them . so you can take advantage of the HDMI and not have to use onboard junk sound and have a sound card running on PCIe 3.0 :-)

Yeah, it's what the AMD APUs does right now.  I'm not much of an audiophile like you are so onboard audio doesn't really bother me , so long as it doesn't cause technical issues.  Some onboard chipsets are really bad, most work just fine.

Yes, Mother board. The first post had card in it and when I tried to edit it, it disappeared. I retyped the whole thing and it appeared again. I'll go back up and edit the first one to double post.

I use mostly ESATA for external HD and USB I try to use just for mouse and keyboards

 

So USB 3.1 will not affect me so much

If I were going to buy one of the USB3.1 cards it would definitely be the one with the new, smaller, reversible slots on it.

I use a ASUS X99 Rampage Extreme for mobo

 

I know ASUS always has a trick for their boards

 

And the Haswell I7 5960X 16 cores rocks already, so USB 3.1 not too much in a hurry for it :-)

 

My board has 12 USB ports on it already 4 of them USB 3.0

Not sure if he's using Xbone or PS4, but It's a mix of resolutions, the guy explains that he swapped between 1080p and  something else because of...things, I can't remember his reasons.

 

Footage is  from from last year when the game was maybe 50% alpha? If you watch through it hit's 1080p quite often then drops out...meh. Game won't be out for a good while yet but should be 1080p on PS4. Xbone who knows? I'm more concerned with the gameplay elements he's describing, it sounds like a DD/ MH/FF hybrid and I gotta say, that's my cup of tea. Looks  awesome, if you like that sort of thing and I very much do.

 

There are rumours of  perhaps a  PC port, but you know what? No.  Not after DA:I. Well,if  I love this on PS4 and the port is done well...then maybe I'd rebuy for PC...maybe. Anyway No Man's Sky is PS4 exclusive and then there is  Wild...so the decision to cave on my No Next gen Consoles, had kind of  been made for me lol!

 

ETA: Watched it  again to get the facts, the footage that is poo comes from a live stream which has subtitles for things the devs were saying so some is HD and some is video from a livestream...see- things lol!

32 Gig of ran running at 2400 FSB memory, I am set for a few years :-)

It would have to be NVlink lite. But it would still be faster than nothing, which is what you have now.  A lot of people may not realize that there is no present video card that can stress an 8x eisa slot. It doesn't matter if it's eisa 2 or 3.  Those underused 8 lanes in an x16 slot could be put to better use if the right programmer got hold of them.

I've lost faith in the Final Fantasy series.  Maybe, it will elevate itself back to it's glory someday.
