Superb hardware, but if programmers cannot take advantage of the PC hardware out there they should retire and go home and quit their jobs, or get their money back on their degrees in programing ![]()

I've played on about every console out there except for this last generation. Any time I'm 3- 4 hundred dollars ahead in my entertainment hardware budget it's either going into Elizabeth II, ( my present game computer) or being set aside for Aurora III ( my next game computer).
what will be a major game changer is DX12 or mantle
if only MS, Nvidia and AMD can get on the same page ![]()
Looking forward to your Aurora III
Don't forget Intel getting their head out, too.

DX12 will make some minor improvements since a lot of people will upgrade to Windows 10. Mantle will get phased out since Nvidia doesn't want to cooperate with AMD , Intel or Microsoft. I highly doubt either will be a game changer. Whoever ends up designing a bridge that allows system memory, CPU and GPU to interchange data simultaneously will further computing.

Guess that will be MS and Intel and those of us who have DX12 cards already :-)
Remember I am an Intel/Nvidia girl :-)
I'll upgrade to windows 10 when it comes out but I'll run a dual boot system until it gets past its growing pains. If nothing else, DX12 would make me upgrade.

I honestly think Intel will come up with a solution first.
And ASUS girl
No other companies does it better :-)
AMD always tries to copy Intel and Nvidia and fails
but it is a compliment to try to copy the greats :-)
And I am an Apple girl also in PC and portable devices :-)
A few years ago I swore I would never run a look and feel version of Windows again. I guess I'm a liar this time.

I am in no hurry for w10 since they say you will be able to put DX12 on W7 64 bit ultimate without upgrading ![]()

A good idea. It really won't be very different from Windows 8.1 . From everything I've researched so far, it's not a drastic change. The metro tiles got moved into the start menu, the system will boot into the desktop, and it's got the Spartan browser and Cortana.
I enjoyed typing with you folks tonight, but this is cutting into my playing time. Love y'all. Type with you later.
It is too bad because mantle has some real amazing sides to it :-)
And it can run on non AMD cards with the proper driver ![]()

AMD actually has gotten away from the trend of copying. They are big into embedded processing , and of course into consumer electronic devices now. It was either that or fail really. Intel and AMD are really after different markets at this point. As for Nvidia, I actually don't like their business practices at all. They are very predatory, similar to how 3DFX was. That is actually pretty ironic , since Nvidia was the reason 3DFX went under. I have no doubts about their technical prowess but they need to step back and realize that competition is not a bad thing and sometimes agreeing on standards is a good idea for both sides.

It is Ms trying to copy Apple again, all that stuff Apple has it already as far as GUI and is much more stable :-)
I have W7 64 bit ultimate and love it as far as MS goes :-)

AMD showed up to a gun fight with a twig and guess who won :-)?

Not really copying Apple. Apple's OS is closed so it's easier to develop hardware/software for. It's more stable because it's got less of a hardware pool to deal with. Well that and the fact that the core of Apple's OS is based off Unix/linux code.
Well Merlin is Unix
I have my Mac pro it kicks butt with its xeon CPU and dual D700 video cards , yes too bad they went with an intel CPU and AMD video cards :-)

Well, it's really not that simple. Even Nvidia realized that brute force wasn't enough. That's why they collaborated with TMC to reduce the size of their chips and come up with maxwell.
I've lost faith in the Final Fantasy series. Maybe, it will elevate itself back to it's glory someday.
Lol! To be honest I lost interest in FF back in the PS2 days...but this one I like the look of. I think it's the ginormous monsters, it's almost like having another MH and I bought a Wii just for MH2 so, you know. lol! Plus- Wild!

Linux is alright if you want to fight with it and get all your hardware to work with it, then you have to run wine in order to play a game or use bootcamp :-)
Weird DA2 was PC and MAC OSX and DAI is strictly console rehash junk
And we do not want it on the Mac since it is junk anyway DAI that is :-)
never played a FF game, but I was told they were real good ![]()
