Well, I've gone and done something I swore I'd never do.

I just paid AU$5.90 for a paint job for my Sidewinder in Elite Dangerous lol! That's right, I succumbed to a micro transaction- and a purely cosmetic one at that!

The worst bit is just how freaking excited I am about logging in and heading to outfitting to have the paint put on lol! Tragic.

Red, with flames up the side. Flames! :D Totally in keeping with my intention to keep the starter ship and max out all the upgrades. It'll be awesome -and no one will suspect just how awesome it is until it's too late once I start bounty hunting! :P I remember the names of the NPCs who greased me...oh yes, I do!

See- tragic. I wasn't lying lol!

They are also modular as well if for example I decided to get a GTX 980 later on I dont have to buy a whole new block just the outer shroud/heatsink for the GTX 980 (costs half the price of the full block) as the central coldplate is universal so you just swap over the outer shroud, reapply your TIM bolt it on and voila.

You do not need those for the Asus GTX 980 Stric Direct CU II :-)

The cards have passive cooling :-)

The dual fan system is separated this way;

One for the GPU and one for the VRAM :-)

They only come on when one of the component reaches 50C then maybe spins for 30 seconds then shuts themselves up.

It is called passive cooling, and the only company who does that is AsUS and MSI, but the Asus is faster than the MSI :-)

That is what you get when the card weight close 3KG each, massive heatsinks to cool things down :-)

I ran a DX11 demanding game, then checked the software that comes with the cards and all together the fans had kick in twice for 20 seconds at 25RPM :-)

Those 12CM fans do not spin fast and are the quietest on the market :-)

Maybe another selling point for you to go to the 980 Asus Strix DC II

Super quiet and efficient:-)

Liquid cooling not required even in SLI :-)

And also because of the massive back plate who does massive cooling :-)

Everyone must be playing SC or DAI with the new patch 5 :-)

Find it hard that they could not put Blach Emporium in this patch release :-)

Does anyone knows when they are going to increase ability slots from 8 to 10 or more?

Purchasing my SC package this week, so will try that game also :-)

Some console people say the game is going to be a flop, but that is just jealousy speaking :-)

Well but at least they had the courage to postpone something based on beta feedback. Who would've thought they are capable of this? :D Willingness to continue work on something until it is bugfree...unheard of! lol ^^

Some people say that Black Emporium might be a DLC you have to pay for :-)

Have you checked if there are more abilities slot?

Can't. I tried your ultimate solution you posted weeks ago. It sounded so great. Turns out it's about uninstalling the game. You somehow hid this fact in your bloomy words.

:P :D

PS: 1am here, time for bed. Hehe, you always start when I stop. ^^

I'm going to say it. EA and Bioware or EAware for short, has blown it. They might get the click-to-move or steering controls down, but if they can't figure out how to do that from existing code, then we're wasting our time.

Seriously, five months and they can't figure out how to bind keys to a mouse without breaking other stuff? Minor league talent brought up to the major leagues.

I can't even play now. I tried rebinding keys and reported it. They closed the thread for a better part of the day. They couldn't fix the issue so they closed the thread, deleted my post and then told everyone not to rebind the keys because there's an issue. It's not about greed or shady stuff... it's incompetence. We're dealing with clowns.

I will write my ending on April 19th. Six months after the release.

So do you know if they are going to be more ability slots as in more than 8?

I'm hoping so but these junior programmers or console programmers seem to be having a bear of a time utilizing frostbite engine 3. I guess it's not as modular as they say it is.

Are you telling me the programmers they left working on this beta stuff are console people, not one of them is PC trained ?

I can't think of one pc programmer left.  They are either working on Sword Coast , off on their own indy project, or with a another company.

I hope they don't charge PC users for a retread of the black emporium. 5 months. Incompetence.
