Know what's really funny? Starting The Withcer up again after a six week break and only remembering how weird the combat control is when you get attacked lol! That was interesting. esc/options/controls/ head scratch x many lol!

Worked it out in the end though and it's a bit of fun really. Not my favourite fight controls by a long shot, but fun.

On a side note, I found a HUGE stick insect- like a good 10" long so I mean properly huge- stuck on a wall. He was freaking out climbing and being trapped by the ceiling so I rescued him. Tried a stick and putting him on a shrub, but it wasn't working, so in the end I had to cowgirl up and let him crawl on ME so I could get him to a big tree. lol! OMG! I can't believe I did it! Pretty cool though, once I got over the inital shudder.

He was one of these ones, if anyone is curious. First one I've seen in the wild!

Judging by the size of it, he was in fact a She. :)

I use Deadly Combat for Skyrim, gives you timed blocking/timed warding mechanics, as well as stagger / etc.

A well timed block staggers your opponent and causes you no stamina, and timed warding reflects spells (fun fun!)

http://www.nexusmods...rim/mods/5485/?

Can't play without it, especially being a Mount and Blade player - which in my opinion is the best in ARPG sword-play combat mechanics.

I'm a long time mount & blade fan. I was using a mod that had a volley fire mode for groups of archers, that was really kick... lowerback. just wish I could remember what it was called. as there are nearly limitless mods for the original M&B.

There's volley fire for Warband as well! Love it!

Hell there would be limitless more mods once M&B2 comes out too, I love how much the devs love mods, still remember when naval combat came out as a mod for M&B1 and Armagod genuinely went "Wow" lol

The heavier the game the harder it is to mod however, still you seen that dev blog "Engine Power"?

They are really dedicated in making modding accessible, I was quite surprised at perfect english too! lol

Armagod used a translator in several of his interviews

the mod I was thinking of... it was a tc type mod, basically turned the map into 1100ad Western Europe, with a crusades add-on. it was really, really good. didn't even feel like a mod.

There are a few, Holy War was dedicated to the crusades, I think you're talking about 1257? That got ported to Warband as well.

Heh, yeah M&B mods and TCs feel like game-modes rather than mods. The devs acknowledged this, especially when just they were a two-person team; husband and wife. Mods are part of the M&B experience.

I was actually playing Gekokujo mod the other day, Japanese TC. My favorite mod for original M&B had to be Pelopennesian Wars however, hell I can never spell that right. They had working phalanx formations!!!

Did someone add me today? From Kroatia? I opened a chat but no response. Sorry, I'm super cautious in these things. If it was a legit add please try it again. ;)

Croatia?  be careful.

Why?

Well it was not the usual obvious scammer. Those have a Steam level of zero (was the case here), don't have any Steam games (wasn't the case) and no friends (wasn't the case) or their profile is set to private (wasn't the case either).

I only share my profile with friends these days.  I had a lot of strange invites from Croatia when I had my profile public..

You want to see a poo storm? Check out the official forum thread on this subject lol! So much console hate. :P

ETA, on the subject of Steam friends and such...and yes I'll sound like an idiot, but what else is new. Exactly what purpose does being friends on Steam/forums serve? Am I missing something? I mean I've always accepted requests on any forums I've been on, but exactly what difference does it make? i know if I like someone...isn't that enough?

so we can gather together and shoot stuff? though I don't really use steam, kind of despise it actually, and I don't really do multiplayer either.

I am now downloading a camping mod for Skyrim. Peregrinus, by sorting my elf you've ruined me for all other games lol!

Check him out.

Nice job slipping in the link in the comments. :)

That's me in that article. I like my console games just as much as my PC games and seriously don't get the animosity. Now I will buy PC over console if I have the choice but I still want the PS4 exclusives, the more the merrier, I say. :)

Speaking of more being merrier, I'm currently trialling multiple follower mods in Skyrim... recs, anyone?

Ha! That's what I'm using now too! Tried the 'simple multiple followers' but didn't like it. Sadly I've lost the follower I had before the mod for some reason... Ah well, hopefully the next one will stick with us. :)

I'm using Male Elven Followers so with any luck we'll be a cadre of elves prowling Skyrim lol!

You've created a monster Peregrinus, I've put in 9 hrs since yesterday's elf creation lol!

I'm using AFT for my advanced follower framework mod. as for actual followers, cerwiden used to be really good, though she's gone a bit glitchy and hasn't been updated for a while. sofia: the funny follower (I call her the dirty follower though), and vilja in skyrim are also good IMHO. there are also a few mods that change the appearance of the followers that are already in game, there it's more of a matter of taste.
